  • 10/10 budget, reliable PSU. Reddragon does it again!!
Style: ATX Gold WT Size: 850 Watts
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 stars For: Budget-conscious builders seeking efficiency, quiet operation, and modular cables Against: Limited brand reputation, higher noise levels under heavy load, potentially tight cable management Performance: 4.5 out of 5 stars The Redragon PSU007 packs a potent punch for its price. Its 850W output makes it suitable for even demanding gaming and workstation builds. The 80+ Gold certification ensures high efficiency, translating to lower power bills and less heat generation. In everyday use, it runs whisper-quiet, remaining near-silent under moderate loads. However, push it hard with a hefty power draw, and the fan noise can become noticeable, though still within acceptable limits. Features: 4 out of 5 stars This PSU ticks all the essential boxes. It's fully modular, allowing you to use only the cables you need, improving airflow and aesthetics inside your case. Japanese capacitors and various circuit protections promise long-term reliability and component safety. It also boasts RGB lighting, though its implementation might be considered basic compared to flashier alternatives. Value: 5 out of 5 stars This is where the PSU007 truly shines. Compared to established brands offering similar specs, the Redragon undercuts the price significantly. For budget-conscious builders seeking a reliable and efficient power supply, it's a hard bargain to beat. Things to Consider: Brand Reputation: Redragon is a relatively new name in the PSU market, so some users might prefer sticking with established brands for peace of mind. Noise Levels: While quiet under moderate loads, the fan noise becomes noticeable under heavy workloads, which might be a concern for noise-sensitive users. Cable Management: The modular cables are handy, but the included ones might be slightly short for spacious cases, potentially requiring extra care during installation. Final Verdict: The Redragon PSU007 850W Gold is a compelling option for budget-minded builders seeking a reliable and efficient power supply. Its quiet operation, modular cables, and 80+ Gold certification offer fantastic value for the price. While the limited brand reputation, potential increase in noise under heavy loads, and potentially short cables are minor drawbacks, they don't overshadow the overall strong performance and affordability. If you're on a tight budget and prioritize performance over brand recognition, the Redragon PSU007 is a Goldilocks-worthy choice, providing just the right power at a budget-friendly price, with just a few thorns to watch out for during installation and heavy workloads. Note: This review is based on my research and analysis of the Redragon PSU007 850W Gold. Your experience may vary depending on your specific components, case size, and usage patterns. Feel free to adapt and personalize this review to your own experience and preferences. • Listed Used, Came Brand NEW!!!
Style: ATX Gold WT Size: 850 Watts
This battery is great and the deal I received was even better!!! It was listed as used in just good condition, not excellent for like $75 off the retail price. Trying to save some dough I purchased it thinking I'll give it a shot, worse case scenario I can just return it full a full refund if I come across any issues. But was really shocked and surprised to receive the battery brand new with the factory seal and packaging in tact. So that was really great. I don't know if they had made some kind of mistake but who's complaining, right!! Battery has been 100% in performance and aesthetics. Reddragon make a darn good product!! I have also purchased more Reddragon products since then, I didn't receive the same kind of price deal but the overall performance is definitely worth their price. They are a real top of the line gaming product supplier. Try them now. ... show more

  • Had an 850 watt tuf gaming PSU fail me in 30 days.. TUF gaming my a$$
Style: ATX Gold BK Size: 850 Watts
I had this pc running on a solar generator, the is a micro second where it will switch to charge on AC power if my battery gets low and has no solar intake. I have it hooked to an apc backup incase this happens so my pc doesnt lose power and reset. The tuf gaming would reset regardless and actually failed completely after one month and would not power back on. This one has been flawless since buying it and has an awesome RBG light too.. was worried about trusting the brand but it is great. I steer away from TUF gaming now. First product that said TUF failed super fast. this is better ... show more

  • Solid performance, fully modular, mostly quiet, lacks RGB synchronization to motherboard
Style: ATX Gold BK Size: 850 Watts
Using this PSU in an open frame test bench build. I bought because of its 850 watt Gold Plus rating and saved a bit of money over buying higher priced name brands. Connected to Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX motherboard with an Intel i7-13900K CPU and Cooler Master CPU cooler. Everything works as expected. PSU has nice RGB color lighting on the fan but you cannot connect it to the motherboard for full synchronization to all RGB lighting. Otherwise its a great supply, price was right, mounts to my Huahuang frame tightly. Lose the case. Let your hardware be free. ... show more

  • Quiet PSU, DOA.
Style: ATX Gold BK Size: 850 Watts
I had high hopes for this PSU. I had just bought a new RX7900XTX to replace my aging RTX2060. I only had a 650W PSU and I was reading that 850W is the recommended minimum. So I bought this PSU. The first problem I had is that the RX7900XTX requires 3 x 8 pin PCIe connectors. The PSU came with 3 PCIe connectors, but only one cable would fit. Of the two that wouldn't fit, one cable would fit the GPU side but not the PSU side, the other cable would not fit either the PSU nor the GPU side. There was also another CPU cable that would fit the motherboard, but would not fit the PSU side at all. I was already suspicious of the PSU. After installing the PSU and applying power to the PSU, the RGB LEDs in my memory DIMMS lit up, which seemed to like a good sign. However, that's where the good signs stopped. As soon as turn on the PC, the PSU would shut down, I would hear a clicking noise and it would not power back on no matter what. After waiting about 10 minutes, the PSU would come on again, only to shut down again and make the same clicking noise again. I was VERY disappointed since I had to pretty much take my entire PC apart to install the new PSU and re-route all the cables. I am glad I didn't bother dressing up the cables to make look nice, or I would have been more disappointed. I definitely would NOT recommend this PSU. Maybe I got a dud, but the burned child avoids the fire... It was quiet for the 10 seconds that it ran, so I give it that. ... show more
