I wanted a non Bluetooth alarm clock near my head at night that played something relaxing to cover up the sound of my tinnitus so I can sleep. I was using one of those headband headphones and it began causing a lump on my forehead and I was getting headaches. Scared I'll find out in the next year I have a brain tumor. So now am really freaked out to have anything near my head as I slept that is wifi or Bluetooth. I thought people were just paranoid until that lump was on my forehead and the headaches started. They did indeed stop once I stopped using the headband. Anyway. I mostly just like water sounds and the option on this for that is pretty good. The wake up alarm is relaxing. My only issue is there are a lot of buttons to finally through until you memorize them. Even then, when you're half asleep it's hard to tell the placement of your hand on it to know exactly. It might be nice in future models of this to make every other button higher? Something to help guide by feel. ... show more

Bought this for each of my kids and they love it. The sound machine settings are great plus the ability to change the colors along with the alarm settings made this a great purchase. Did expect it to be so good. It’s small and works great.

I like the looks of this clock; very subtle in the light gray color. The brightness is fully adjustable or can be set to auto dim at night. I like the sounds it makes also to help get to sleep, though I wish the waves in the ocean sound were at a lower frequency, that is time between the waves is too short, the the sound frequency. There is also a significant learning curve to the buttons because there are several of them and they are all the same. I woke up my wife a few times hitting the wrong button and setting off loud music. We finally glued a small button on one to help in the dark. ... show more

I purchased this originally for the nursery as we have an older version for my other kiddos and they have loved it since birth. Figured I'd have the same option for the new baby. When I saw they had an updated version with a clock built in I was stoked! This has been enjoyed in our baby's room daily. Love the adjustable brightness for the clock display and the auto dim option. Good sound quality for the price, great variety of sounds/noise, fun colorful nightlight option. Edit to add: sometimes clock brightness adjusts itself (though auto brightness is NOT turned on and I have to adjust at bedtime so it isn't too bright in the room for sleeping. Update #2: the dimmer for the clock up and stopped working...and now the clock display is bright as can be in the middle of the night. I am SOOOO sad...it made it a year before it just gave out. I was considering buying another of these for my daycare nap room but may have to consider another option as I don't want a bright blaring light when the kiddos are napping. Fooey! ... show more

Attention insomniacs: this item is awesome! The rounded shape is visually soothing, wonderful to touch. There are about 19 sounds to choose from, and the fidelity of the bird sounds is awesome. I leave it on all night and for the first time ever I didn't have awful dreams! The melodies cut through my racing thoughts, helps to calm my mind. And let's not forget the color ring at the bottom. I keep it on "rainbow" selection, which is mesmerizing and doesn't even bother me while I'm asleep. The gradual change from color to color is so soothing and beautiful. My only complaint is that there is only 1 alarm setting -- I wish it contained 2 alarms that I could set with 2 different sounds, calming for going to sleep and a maybe heavy rain for wake-up. Also, the rain and stream sounds are too harsh and not nature-like, they would work as white noise during the day but are not calming like the melodies and birds.
