  • They work great (after the battle)
This is the third set on the Rancho Loaded Struts I have installed on my 2008 Chevy 1500. (I currently have 276,000 miles on the truck) The first set lasted ~130,000 miles, The second set was never right. Although I had them set on the softest ride (setting #1) the ride was so ruff my wife would not ride in the truck. I put up with that for 3 years and finally called Rancho Tech Service. They couldn’t explain why I was having the issues but informed me the Rancho shocks & struts have a lifetime warranty and directed me how to get replacements. If I had know that (Life time warranty) I would have had then replace my first set but that is another story. Anyway I have received and installed the replacement set and the vehicle rides like it was brand new (on setting #1). I like these loaded struts for the frontend lift. I put them on the softest setting and never change them (setting # 1-3 are supposed to be close to OEM). If you get a set of struts that are ruffed as **** they are defective and call Rancho to get them to send you a replacement pair. Working through Amazon to get replacements can be painful (it took over a month) but doable if you have patience. ... show more

  • Great value for the money
Nice and heavy duty, half the price as stock struts and they lift your truck. I put them on my 2008 Chevy Silverado 2wd, they raised it about 3inch-4inch, more than I thought it would and I love it. Crazy enough, they weren't hard to install bolted right up and didn't have to work hard to get them in. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is cause the hardware they sent with it was just so light weight and cheap. I used the original nuts & bolts cause they were just more heavy duty. The ride is a bit stiffer, but I'm fine with that. ... show more

  • 2008 Silverado
used this product to replace the shocks and make installation simple while maintaining a leveling kit on the front (I had a previous leveling kit before this product installation). I did loosen the ball joint in the upper control arm to allow from more clearance for installation. I tried to insert two 1/4" spacers but it wasn't going to fit without a little more work. I don't t think this would be necessary if installing without a 1/4" spacer. I'm a little disappointed the adjustment knobs face the outside/tire side of the vehicle instead of facing toward the middle. it would be more convenient facing toward the middle but still can be adjusted easily just not able to see the knob as well. this is not an installation problem as there is only one way the bolts on top and botton will line up. directions state there will be some settling and i did notice some from measuring right after installation and a few days later after driving. After installing the 1/4" spacer, the height to top of the front wheel well measures 39". I have also installed 1" lift blocks on the rear. After installing the rear lift blocks, the height to top of rear wheel well measures 39.5". I am running 285/70R17 tires. ... show more

  • SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, AND STAY AWAY FROM RANCHO!!!
If I was able to give this product less than 1 star I would. For starters, the pictures didn't match what I received, but I still wanted to install them to get an idea of how they drove on my vehicle. They rode worst than what I had on my truck, the only support came from the coil spring. I replaced these after 2 weeks. They didn't even feel safe to drive on. The red adjustment screw on the strut did nothing for me as far as driveability. I removed the coil spring and tested the strut it performed as a blown strut, I do not know how anyone would think these are worth anything. I would warn anyone thinking about buying these...STAY AWAY!! You will regret it, I promise. The only thing they did for my truck was raised it a few inches, but if that is your goal. Just use your stock strut and purchase a spacer. I ended up purchasing KYB monotube struts. They rode so smoothly, just like a new truck! ... show more

  • Not as shown
The shocks were installed today and definitely not a 2.5” lift more like 1.75 maybe 2” the pictures show a red bushing at the bottom however not on the shocks. Packaging came in destroyed 1 bolt and 2 nuts were all it came with. Looks like a knock off of rancho shocks but we shall see

  • Better than AC Delco on a Chevy 1500
Easy to install, raised the front 2.5 inches, better ride than Rough Country level kit with AC Delco struts.

  • Not happy with Amazon, Rancho product is great!!!
This one came from Amazon Shipping which did not appear to be new. It looked used or let say returned merchandise. Lots of scuffs on the spring and only came with one sticker. The product it self from Rancho is great. Lifted as promised and waiting for it to naturally level out. Passenger side more difficult over driver side on 2015 Chevy Silverado. ... show more

  • I would buy them for every truck
besides the fact that when it was shipped Amazon put it in a torn box and I lost the decals due to mis-handling. The function is perfect I've had them on for about 15,000 miles now. I've waited to right a review so I could give an honest one. I believe it rides better than Stock I do a lot of driving both on and off road. It lifted my Front end from 35 1/ 2 inches to a solid 38 inches. I put them on my 2008 GMC Sierra Z71 that I use for construction work I'm in mud, and potholes everyday. It's hard to adjust the dial with mud caked on it but I have to say I would put them on a new Truck off the lot with out a question. I also changed out the rears with the RS9000's at the same time. It literally took me 40 minutes to change all 4 with a floor jack, a block of wood, a pry bar and an impact gun. ... show more
