The material is lightweight and cool, I think a cotton rayon mix. Perfect for me, I live in texas and the sun is horrible for my old skin damaged skin. I washed my dress, (spilled blueberry ice cream on it) and used a stain remover and then placed the dress in a lingerie bag and washed on delicate. It came out of the washing machine, a bit wrinkled but nothing that a quick go over with my steamer can’t fix. Highly recommend. I ordered one in fall colors and one in bluish green. This is a beautiful dress and it appears well made. I washed it and let it air dry and it came out perfect without ironing it. I am 5'4" and the length was fine in a size Large. The only negative is that it runs small in the bust. I wear a 38C bra and I have to wear a minimizer bra with this dress. Also, be aware that the middle of the top is cut very, very low...too low for my taste so I wear a little Cami that snaps to my bra for coverage. ... show more

Love the material. Great light material for hot summer days : church, weddings, nice outtings. My only reason for 4, would have even don’t a high 3, is the chest. Very thin ( not see through in this) material. It came apart at the chest as I was putting it on. I don’t have massive shoulders, but I heard it tear as I was putting it on. Cut of the frayed pieces. Definitely needs a cami or like here, I’m wear a sports bra/bralette with a window. I am 12-14, D40 chest and ordered 16-18. On most Amazon dresses I size up. This one, for more “blessed” 🍈 🍈 maybe go up 2 sizes to avoid tight chest and ripping. I bought a second dress because it is pretty and easy wear, but that one did rip too. I had high hopes for this dress and ended up purchasing it in multiple colors (which I'll have to send back). It fits nicely everywhere except the chest area, which is a bit snug for me as I wear a 34 DDD. Plus, the neckline plunges down quite low, and it doesn't flatter my particular body shape. I don’t like to buy cheap, throw away fashion, so I hesitated to buy this. After reading several reviews , I bought one dress. It washed very well on delicate in washer an I hung it to dry. There was no color shrinkage or fading. I bought 5 different colors altogether! These will be my “ go to” dresses in fall and spring for home or running errands or even out to lunch. I wish they had pockets and that the length was about 2” longer. At 5’5””, they are midi length but would prefer maxi length. If you are looking for a cotton blend fabric that dries nicely if hung dried (I did a quick dryer fluff after it had completely dried). A dress that fits very loosely but is also flattering. And you like the “bohemian” look. This is a great dress! I have significant skin sensitivities. This fabric is incredibly soft and comfortable on the skin. The design of the dress and amount of fabric gives it a nice amount of weight to make the dress hang nicely on the body. Great length for leggings in cooler weather. In short, I love this dress. This dress looks like pictured and I think is cuter on than in the package. I did have to size up to a large as the empire part on the medium was snug and did not fit right. The large is roomy but not too sloppy. I usually wear an 8 or 10 dress.
