So I've been starting seeds using my Aerogardens and it's been awesome. I bought these as a cheaper alternative to the "grow anything" kit but I'm sooo dissatisfied. In my picture you can VERY clearly see where I started using these pods vs the Aerogarden pods. All of these seeds were started at the exact same time and have been in the exact same conditions the entire time. They are all tomatoes. The row that is half and half, that's where I switched to this brand half way through the same type of tomato because I ran out of Aerogarden pods. Pretty clear that these just don't cut it for some reason. It's almost like they're packed too tight so the seeds can't take root or something. The worst part, I have a whole additional tray of pepper seeds using this off brand junk thinking it would work as fast and easy as the Aerogarden brand. Basically just throwing away seeds and time if you use these. Wish I'd known 😞 ... show more

    • Roots do not penetrate the pod. They're junk.

The pods are to hard even after soaking. They do not allow roots to pentrate. Not even melon seeds. To late to return and now im stuck with them. Pay a bit extra and do not make the mistake I did.

I started 48 different types of flower seeds and was soooo excited when I had little seedlings popping up. Unfortunately I moved them from their happy place while they were too small and majority washed away in the rain. Started my second batch this month and will wait much longer and let thx roots really work their way into these pods. I decided to use trays and put 3-4 pots in each space to make the most of the limited space I have. ... show more

These pods DO NOT let the roots grow through. They are too hard and the roots can't grow through them. I have to tear them apart when I plant them because the roots grow up instead of growing down through the pods. I lost 30 starters before I realized there was a problem.
