I am so happy with this garment steamer. It is simple to use, heats up so fast that you don't waste time and just relaxes the wrinkles out of fabric. The hanger makes it easy to work and is flexible in height. Tall or short people can find a comfortable level that works for any individual. I just love the wheels, the compact size and the ability to wheel this anywhere while I work. It freed me from the laundry room and speeds up the process. It is easy to fill the water chamber and the steam lasts a long time before the next water addition. This steamer is also very kind to fabric and I believe it will make clothes last longer due to avoiding making creases that regular irons make. The same clothes I have been pressing, look better after they are steamed instead. I look more like I send everything out to the dry cleaners, when I actually saved the cost of dry cleaning (which will pay for the machine after a few uses). I like the way they included four levels of heat for all kinds of fabric. Because the base is small and the height is adjustable, this is also very easy to store in a closet, taking up very little space. It's all good. ... show more

It seems to be very well made. Very EASY and quick assembly. Don't let the compact size sway you. Sometimes grand things come in small packages. Instruction manual is well written and informative to handle most questions. I am a complete novice, I have never used a garment steamer before now. I had this unboxed, put together, water tank filled and a pair of cotton pants steamed and wrinkle free all within 10 minutes. After using it for several items, I have decided the only feature I would like added would be a steam shut off. Something that keeps the machine and water warm without the constant steam. As I am going from one item to the next I have to move the hose somewhere safe so I do not get burnt to change to the next item on the clothing rack. I have to shut it off and back on between items and wait for warm up again. One minute is not a lot to wait typically but when you have a pile of clothes you want to get done this can add a good bit of time. In conclusion, yes I am happy with the purchase and yes I would recommend this garment steamer to others. ... show more

    • Leaks all over the floor
I bought this steamer because of the high ratings it has, and I needed a full sized steamer for my photography business to steam the backdrops I use. Well, was I ever disappointed! It was very easy to put together. Put the hose on and lock it in place. Push the 2 aluminum bars into the slots and attach the top piece with the clothes hanger (which does NOT stay on no matter what you try), then put the handle cradle on. Next came the time to test it out. I put water in the reservoir, not even filling it to the max level because I just wanted to test it out. I plugged it it, turned it to the Cotton setting, which isn't even the highest setting, and waited a few minutes for it to heat up. I started to use it on an old muslin backdrop I had, and it barely worked (I expected a little better, but I didn't have it on the Linen setting, so wasn't upset...it WAS working just slowly). The nozzle was spitting water onto the backdrop, which is not normal for a steamer, but I figured it was the first use, so maybe it needs to be worked in a little bit. Then, I moved the machine and much to my surprise...a BIG puddle of water right under the machine!!! This is NOT normal and completely caught me off guard. OK, well, I thought maybe I did something wrong. So, I unplug the machine and clean up the mess, take the reservoir out, replace it and make sure it's seated right in the housing unit. Then I plug the unit back in and let it heat back up. Well, it still leaked all over the place. Needless to say, this is NOT recommended. Now to see how I go about getting it returned. ... show more

    • Love It, Until it Dies
TLDR: This is my third PurSteam steamer in (3) years. It seems they only last about (2) years. I LOVE this steamer, until it dies for no apparent reason. I say this because - being my third steamer in 6 years - I've learned what to do and what not to do. The first PurSteam steamer I used every weekday and sometimes on the weekend. I used tap water and always left water in the reservoir. This steamer lasted approximately 10 months. The second PurSteam steamer, again used every weekday and sometimes on the weekend. This time I used purified bottled water and left water in the reservoir. This steamer lasted just over 2 years, by 1 week. At this juncture, I was informed by the seller that I likely had mineral deposit buildup and have damaged the heating coil. The third PurSteam steamer, again - used nearly every day of the year. I continue to use purified water but always drained the reservoir. In an effort to make this the last steamer I ever purchased, I also began de-scaling monthly. Yesterday my steamer worked perfectly. Quick to heat up, no sputtering. This morning - in the wee hours before work - I turn on the steamer. The blue light illuminated and I went into the next room to brush my teeth - expecting to return to a lovely veil of hot steam. Instead - nothing. Absolutely nothing except a steady blue light telling me the steamer was powering on. I did not have time to troubleshoot. I turned it off sprayed my clothes with water, tossed them on tumble and hoped for the best. This evening I ran hot vinegar through the steamer three times. Then hot water twice. After reassembling, I plugged it in and hoped for the best. Again, blue light, no steam. After looking through my records I see this last unit was purchased Oct 12, 2020. So, just over three years with very careful use and care. What an absolute bummer. I'm going to try a different brand this time around. If you have any recommendations, I'm all ears. ... show more
