These mats were a perfect addition to my home gym. I was able to easily install them in an irregular space. Easy to cut and fit snugly into corners. My gym floor is fully covered and I did not have to move very heavy equipment. The padding thickness is perfect. Not to soft and not too hard. I have bought mats before that did not provide enough protection. I am able to kneel on old knees without any pain (getting back up is another story). ... show more

Pros: Product is ok for the price. It went together well and all pieces fit nicely together. The thickness is right under .5 of an inch. Nice padding for exercise underneath feet. Cons: Diamond plate texture on top is quite slippery for MMA activities. After walking on the mats and entering another room your feet feel very slick and seem to be covered in a film. It did have a slight chemical smell to them. I scrubbed the top of the tiles with a carpet brush and warm soap water. It did seem to get the film off. If you have tile floor you have to, HAVE TO, get an underlay. The pieces will slip like you steped on a bananna peel with out one. So I went to Walmart and bought a rug underlay. It was $19.97 and it worked perfectly to help it from slipping from underneath you. In conclusion, It's nice padding, so far the pieces seem to be holding together. I'll update my review after doing more workouts, the joints might need tape. There is a slippery chemical film on the top layer that is slick and will stick to feet. You have to purchase a rug underlay for this product to not slip out from underneath you. One of the images shows how the joints have a layer of glossy film on them and the tile it self no longer does. This is because I cleaned the tiles and not the joints to keep water out of them. ... show more

These puzzle mats are an excellent and necessary addition for use with my fitness equipment. For the price, the quality is acceptable and I can’t complain. The interlocking design makes it simple to assemble and configure according to your desired preference: and design configuration. The only slight issue that I’ve observed, if you even want to call it that, is that the corner pieces sometimes come apart slightly, but I won’t drop a star for that as this doesn’t impact functionality or use of the product in any way.     • OK but slides

Like the idea and was really hoping this would work. Like the firm padding and protecting the floor. However these slide around on the floor a lot. There is no traction or slip resistance, which is sort of dangerous. I tried placing my own small grip pad under it, which helped a little but was too small. I'd have to order and store a separate grip pad which defeats the purpose of a puzzle mat (which I wanted for easier storage and flexibility to make larger when needed...) ... show more
