Since I was not able to get it into a stud, I put Gorilla Double Sided Tape on the squares on the back where there were no screws so that there would some extra hold while I was inserting the screws and when the screws were secured. I'd prefer for the pole gaps to be bigger, because it's a bit too close to each other especially if you went to turn the reels to the side. You'd have to bring them up/down correlated next to each other to make it fit. But springs are strong and hold very well.

With the ability to choose where the reel goes, you can really pack in he rods much closer than a traditional holder. My only complaint is that the springs are stout enough that it’s very difficult to load a rod with 1 hand. Removing them is easier. Still love it.

I had a round turn style rod holder. Although nice, it took up a corner that I needed. I bought this rod hold and put it up. It went on easy, came with hardware for installation. It's sturdy and the soft jaws don't hurt the rod. Even with reels attached the rods don't slide down. You can stagger the rods to make everything fit. Happy with the purchase. ... show more

I am very happy with this product. My cats are spoiled rotten and I intend to keep it that way. They have four different fishing pole toys and five different wands , which makes for lots of potential tangles and difficulty in choosing the right one for the day (my cats are also particular, the brother likes some toys some days, the sister likes other toys other days).
