  • The collar works and is a great deal
Size: One Receiver Color: Black
I bought this for my beagle puppy Bruce Wayne aka Brucifer. It was easy to use and understand. It stays charged way longer than I expected. I tested the shock before I used it and it's true to settings strength. I don't have to use the shock because the vibration works on my dog to stop chewing and jumping. We recommend ... show more

  • Game changer! Great for training, bad behavior, stopping digging, and getting used to cats!
Size: One Receiver Color: Black
So, I resisted getting one of these a long time because I’m very humane with my pets, and was just ignorant about the whole topic and didn’t think it was necessary to try to stop a dogs natural behavior to bark. I’ve had a lot of pets over my lifetime, and never needed this type of item. That was — until I adopted an Aussie-mix spitfire of a dog with barky all day, non-stop destructive, hyper energy! (If we don’t exercise her for hours daily, she tears everything up.) This collar has so many benefits and features, it is well worth it! We never even have to use the shock feature, and it’s already helped us train our aussie herding dog to curb digging behavior, stop chasing our inside cats, and to stop barking at the neighborhood kids non stop, and barking constantly at people on walks. I’ve also used it to stop her from eating my plants and landscape items outside so she can learn which sticks are okay, and that my forsythia shrub is ‘not okay’ to chew. Pro tip>Get yourself a lanyard to hook this to make it wearable. Now, all I have to do is show my dog I have the lanyard around my neck and she behaves! (Again, I haven’t even had to use the shock feature). She just knows what it means and that I can follow her behavior more closely. We had an auto bark collar first before this that I tried, and my dog didn’t care at all. With that other one, even on level 5/highest level she kept barking even though it buzzed and vibrated. For some reason, she is was better with this PatPet collar, because of the controller I think and she knows I can press the button more unpredictably. If you see your dog digging, you can warn them with the beep and vibrate. If they lunge or bark on walks, you can use it to keep them better behaved and train better behavior. It was great redirecting our aussie with our indoor cats too. When she went to chase them or lunge towards them, we’d beep and then vibrate if she continued. Now, she pretty much ignores them for the most part. This collar has been well worth the price, I highly recommend it! Within about 6 months of more consistent use, we often go weeks without using it, but when bad behavior stats up - we simply use it again and our dog is back to her good behavior. We do make sure to take it off when inside resting and at night for comfort, and we don’t use it at all when she is doing well behavior wise. The charge lasts a long time. We also tested it on our older dog when he gets extra barky, and he hated just the vibrate feature. Now all I have to do is just show him the collar, and he stops the outside constant barking. He’s a sweet old guy who doesn’t need it though! Overall, solid, great purchase! ... show more

  • Works great for big dog
Size: One Receiver Color: Black
We have a Great Pyrenees who is very big and has tons of fur around her neck and this works great for her. It’s just as good - if not better - than more expensive ones we’ve purchased. The battery life is excellent - our expensive one we had to charge constantly. We rarely have to charge this one, she wears it most of the time. ... show more

  • Range isn't as far as expected
Size: One Receiver Color: Blue
Range isn't as far as expected. Sometimes pushing the button and it doesn't work. Have to press it a few times before it works. Not all the time but periodically. Battery life isn't bad.

  • The receiver turns off after 8 hours if it doesn't receive a command!
Size: One Receiver Color: Black
I have 3 juvenile LGD pups in training right now. In order to teach them not to chase sheep or poultry (because it's a ton of fun for rowdy juvies, but not so much for the livestock) I have to be able to put a stop to it instantly - 1) to protect the stock, 2) so the dogs associate the collar commands with the unwanted chasing behavior. 4 years ago I purchased an identical set with 2 receivers and all of the pieces still work wonderfully! The receivers last for weeks without recharging even when not turning them off overnight. They are ready to go back on the dogs in the morning without any extra steps (which is helpful when wrangling multiple excited pups). I had expensive brand name collars before but they would last for a day or two on a full charge and I could never rely on them as they may or may not have worked the exact moment I needed them to. The rechargeable batteries also wore out quickly and I had to buy expensive ($100+) replacement receiver collars. And they didn't have the vibration feature. That's why I was so impressed with my 4-year-old set. It's dependable even today and every component still holds the charge for weeks. Because I needed a third collar I tried to reorder the same set, but it was no longer available. Searching through Amazon I found this single collar set. It arrived quickly and looked and worked just like my old set. Unfortunately I missed the "fine print," in the instruction booklet about THIS receiver shutting off after 8 hours if it doesn't receive a command! Why in the world would you have this thing turn off automatically when it's not getting commands?! Not getting commands is a GOOD thing! To save battery power? WHY? These things already hold a charge for weeks. To keep the collar active I have to beep, vibrate or shock my dog for no reason?!?! Because just turning on the remote doesn't do it. That's the stupidest feature they could add to this collar! I don't willy-nilly activate the collars all day long to keep them running! It gets used ONLY when needed. The dogs behave most of the time and therefore don't require any disciplinary actions. But the moment they get a bug up their behind, something misfires in their juvenile brain and they decide to forget all training and test their limits the collar HAS TO WORK! Well, this thing turned out to be completely useless in that department and one of my chickens nearly lost her life! Unbeknownst to me this new collar had turned off and wasn't vibrating, beeping nor shocking. It's absolutely useless to me and set back the training by weeks. While the 2 dogs with the old collars stopped immediately, the other one with this new collar continued in ignorant bliss, learning how much fun it is to chase a squawking, flapping, terrified chicken! It usually only takes 3-4 shocks to train them. Afterwards only the beeping and vibration functions are enough to stop any bad behaviors. This dog will most likely require a few additional shocks now, because she experienced how much fun the chase was without any instant consequences. I'm sure she greatly appreciates that automatic shut-off feature and her increased learning curve! Off to find one of these collars that DON'T have that stupid auto-shutoff feature... ... show more

  • Good product
Size: One Receiver Color: Black
It works good the range is good and the battery lasts a long time. I only charge it every couple weeks. Collar will fit any dog. Just fit the collar and cut off the excess.

  • Great recall, training tool
Size: One Receiver Color: Black
This product has been so helpful for my recall and training! I use the "bell" to recall my dog instead of yelling and the vibration only if an emergent immediate recall is required.
