The Panasonic ES-EL9A-S epilator and shaver provides easy, full-body hair removal and spa-like beauty body care at home. It uses seven different attachments to epilate, shave and trim, exfoliate and soften feet. Attachments include an epilation head for legs and arms; gentle cap for gentler epilation; sensitive area cap for underarms and bikini line; shaver head with slide-up trimmer; bikini comb attachment; foot care head to remove calluses and dead skin; and sonic scrub brush for exfoliation. The main epilator attachment features a 1.25-In. Area of epilation to cover a large surface area to efficiently capture and remove body hair from the root. Inside the head, rotating double discs with 60 hypoallergenic tweezers work in tandem to ensure hair not captured by the first disc is caught and removed by the second - even single stray hairs and hair often too short for waxing, as short as 0.5mm. This tool is a dream!!! I can't recall the last time I've shaved! Before I purchased this OVER 3 YEARS AGO, I saw many reviews complaining about battery life, durability, and skin getting sucked in. Ladies...do you know how batteries and mechanics work? A) If you constantly charge this, the LI-ION battery will deplete quickly, because that's simply due to how rechargeable batteries function (Google it and apply that new-found knowledge to ALL of your LI-ION devices). Charge it only when needed. I only charge mine a few hours prior to when I plan on using it. I have had NO issues with the charge - even 3 fricken years later. B) You HAVE to clean out stuck (usually thick) hair from the epilator tweezers. This is how it works for all epilators like this. I take a bowl and a spare pair of tweezers and clean them out while watching or listening to something. It's not a big deal. Stop complaining - you're just lazy. C) Oh? You have loose skin?! Most of us do in different areas! Major 101 lesson! - no matter the area and no matter the technique (e.g. WAXING) - hold loose skin taut. That's how you get the best effect for hair removal (your waxer should be doing this) and ensure the ROTATING part of the device doesn't suck your skin into it. That's just...simple knowledge. I can epilate my entire lady parts and have no issues, because I hold the loose, tender areas taut. D) Ingrown hairs? I battle those myself (even when I have shaved in the past). You simply have to be habitual in exfoliation and tweeze the ones that cause issues (that issue is simply genetics, which I have to deal with myself). Overall, I love this thing. I have found it well worth the money I paid 3 years later, simply because I know how to take care of it and use it effectively. =) ... show more

Overall, great product. Been using epilators for ages and recently my very basic Remington broke so I decided to try this one. It does a decent job but will not grab super short hairs during “touch ups” like my old one did. I also saw it break a couple at the skin instead of pulling them out. The tilt head is cool, no pinching around the knees or ankles, but as I said, unless the hair is long enough it won’t grab it anyway. I guess this could be a good “starter” epilator if you’ve never used one before, but the tweezers just don’t quite get close enough to the skin for my preference. ... show more

This is my first epilator. It's been an experience. I was getting my bikini area waxed before covid and I wanted to be able to get similar results while staying home. I started with my legs. I found it extreamly painful. I think my leg hair was too long. The shorter your hair the less painful. I would also say don't be afraid of it, it will not grab your skin if it is a taught area (or if you pull it taught). You can take ibprophane before use (especially for the first time). You will need to go up and down over the same area a couple of times. It's hard to get all the hairs. My legs don't feel smooth like they do when I shave. I don't know if it's still a learning curve. Armpits are tricky. I use the attachment with the smallest opening (to warm up the area). Then I use the attachment with the little mettal guard. You have to go back and forth and in all different directions. I usually find a hair or two I missed, but my armpits are much smother than with shaving. Bikini area is very tricky. I use the attachment with the smallest opening) to warm up the area). Then I switch to the attachment with the metal guard. If you don't use that one your skin can get grabbed. The closer you get the more painful it is. Some areas I'm happy with and some areas I am having a hard time with. The results are nothing like waxing. I am hopeful I will get better at this. So far I have trouble getting all the hairs and it doesn't seem to last too much longer than shaving. I am hoping the hairs will get thinner and I guess that I will get better at this. I watched videos of other people using an epilator and that helped me a lot. ... show more

Worse Better than a cheaper one I bought before, be careful of possible skin pinching, not easy to clean. I like that it’s cordless and can use in the shower.
