I have a 7'6" fun board with a rounded nose, and the design of the nose of the bag on the website (rounded nose) was not what I received. I received a bag where the nose was more pointy and doesn't fit well. The website shows a nose/bag that was more rounded to fit my fun board. You'll see the two pictures below. This is everything I wanted it to be. It is about the thickness of a beach towel, it is soft, it stretches pretty well, and it looks good. It has an extra padded thick patch for the nose of the board which offers additional protection along the nose of the board. It will protect the board from scratches and UV while it is on the top of my car traveling to and from locations. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is that it wasn't quite long enough. I have a 10.5ft SUP which is about 33 inches at its widest. The cover is a 9.5 ft cover, and from what I read about this product in Q&A and reviews, I got the impression that it would be able to stretch to make up the difference, but it appears to be built for surfboard widths, not SUP widths. It stretched to cover the added width, but this made it so it couldn't cover the full length of my board. The last 2 ft or so of my board are left hanging out. I think the cover itself is less than 9.5 ft and it is intended to stretch to 10.5 ft, but if you are stretching it width wise, it will not make it to the end of the board. Now I will have to figure out a way to cover the last couple feet of my board 😕 ... show more

I have a 6’0 board and I got the 6’ surf sock. The sock is actually a few inches longer than the board so it fits inside perfectly after pulling the closure cord. The material is not only stretchy enough to fit the width of the board but it’s also very thick which is nice when I’m banging it against my car before and after a session. I’ve purchased previous socks that I never used because the material was super thin which gave no protection at all and had a stretch in the width of the board of about 10%, which made it almost as hard as putting on a wet wetsuit. This sock stretches width wise about 30% which makes it very easy to cover and uncover the board. I bought my brother one that looked very similar from another vendor because this vendor didn’t have his size but his turned out to be a little thinner and not as nice as this one. The one complaint is the little bag sewn in at the opening for wax, fins, etc. if you place a bar of wax in there and don’t cinch up the cord the whole bag just flops out and down. Since I put my board on a wall rack it’s pretty unsightly. It would have been better to sew it in a few inches inside of the board but it’s not a deal breaker. ... show more

The fit was perfect for my 5'8 quad and getting the hybrid 6.0 cover was what I needed for the nose which my board, which is not as sharp as the shortboard cover. I love the hidden velcro pouch, for keys, tucked away inside. I will say, the fins on my board are a bit sharp (for performance) and one of the fins cut through the material just sitting in the car. I would suggest some thicker material (like the nose) to line inside where the fins are. ... show more

Nice fabric, design, quality. Better nose piece then other socks. I bought a 6’0” for a 6’1” shortboard, and pienty of coverage at the bottom. My complaint, hence the 3 stars, is its too loose of a fit. I like my Julie Designs because it’s a nice snug perfect fit. This one is a baggy fit and if I keep it, it’s going to the tailors. (My board is a hybrid board and not a skinny pro board) Especially extra loose around the nose. POOR Cut/Fit. If they tailored up the fit to be more like the JD's, this would be a for sure winner. ... show more

Compared to similar product from "Channel Island" this product looks cheap - very thin. Also it hardly fits a softboard size 7". But it's OK, it's just a simple product, no high expectations

we keep all of the surf boards outside of the house but not in direct sunlight but its never good to store them in the sun...these covers are cheap enough if it gets worn it can be replaced...nice build quality and fit...

    • Improper description
Purchased this protective sleeve/sock for my new Stand up paddleboard which is 10’2”, the item description states that the sock will cover up to 10’6”, which would allow a buffer of at least 4”, to which the cover doesn’t provide.
