The only time I've ever seen a Spin Art paint machine in action was at the Spring Festival for our granddaughter's elementary school. It was a popular booth with a line to use it. This tells me a lot about the allure of this set. This Spin Art craft set is well-designed. It comes packaged in a very nicely decorated cardboard box that shows exactly what you're getting (& makes it giftable!) The components are made of plastic; the set includes 4 larger tubes of primary-colored paints and 3 smaller tubes of metallic contrasting colors. There are 22 pieces of paper for your designs, the spinning machine and a splash-proof lid & chassis (which work!!) All the components are removable and washable. The instruction booklet enclosed is well written and accompanied by intuitive sketches. The unit does require 3 AA batteries and a screwdriver to remove the battery lid (neither enclosed). I got this paint spinner for my 1st grade class. It was a surprise for the National Day of Play. When I unpacked it and put in the batteries, I had my own little surprise when I turned it on. It played music and was pretty loud at that... not my favorite but the kids loved it.

This spin art machine works exactly how I thought it would. It comes with everything you need to get started and have hours of fun. Kids get to be creative and create artwork to hang up and be proud of. It is very fun for kids and adults to see what comes out of your work. I was concerned that this would lead to paint flying everywhere, but, I assure you, it does not. My kids and I had a blast creating art with this, and it’s unlike anything we’ve ever tried. The media could not be loaded. This paint spinning set is really fun! It requires 3 AA batteries, and is easy to assemble and use. The lights are a cool detail. While the machine is on it cycles through about 10 nursery rhymes (3 Blind Mice, Old McDonald, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, etc...). The nursery rhythms are a strange design choice, but it's kind of relaxing. Everything is sturdy and a nice quality. I like that it's compact and easy to store. The directions are questionably translated with misspelled words and broken English. This doesn't effect the set too much, but maybe something the maker of this toy should consider. Anyway, this is a quick, fun activity with a neat final piece of artwork. The quanity of paper and paint is great and will complete a lot of projects. It would be easy to substitute your own paper and paints. Finally, it's easy to clean IF you clean everything right away. The paint dries very quickly--which is nice for the artwork--but makes cleaning tricky. All the paint splatter mess stays within the guard/cover. This Spin Art Machine is so much fun for kids. It is easy for kids to use but I prefer helping at first. Kids get to add the colors of paint when they want to create unusual artwork. I had one of these as a kid and I loved it. Once the grandkids know how to use the spin art machine and clean up afterwards.
