And it's pretty easy to change the position of my phone when I'm recording as well. It's very sturdy, once I got it attached to my desk the base has never moved at all. Everything feels sturdy and well-made, yet surprisingly lightweight. While I don't use the entire kit all the time (mainly for overhead video shoots), the pieces are versatile. I love that the phone clip can be used with my selfie stick, and the webcam ring light fits perfectly on my webcam tripod. However, the real star for me is the ring light itself. The product is great in theory but the execution leaves much to be desired. The light has three color settings and multiple brightness options which is great but even at max it is not super bright. The main problem is the size of the ring light and the placement. If you mount the light on top of the arm like is shown in the photos, the mechanical arm and your phone cast a big shadow right across whatever you're trying to photograph just like when you try to take the picture by hand which is what we're trying to avoid here in the first place. If you mount the light on the underside of the arm, as it should be, the ring itself gets in the way making taking pictures difficult and puts a big plastic ring around all your photos! The phone holding arm is built fairly well, especially considering the "sale" price of around $35. However, the piece that holds your phone connects to the arm with a twisting gear type of piece that is hard to make tight. Because of that my phone flipped a couple times while trying to stage my photos. This is frustrating because between trying to operate your phone camera, adjusting the arm and moving the power chord attached to the ring light- which is also a separate piece that you have to clamp on- you're likely to have to redo EVERYTHING and could trash your art in the process. Maybe I just haven't figured out the right way to use it but...I'm not super impressed. At least it wasn't super expensive. 🤷🏻♂️ ... show more

What a perfect simple setup to do hands-free videos! I needed something to help me do some instructional videos while I did the task with my hands. This adjustable arm setup did great. You clam the arm to the end of the table and then you can attach the ring light to either the fixed end of the arm or on the flexible piece that clips onto the arm. That is great that you have some options depending on if you’d rather have the phone or the light more adjustable. And once tightened, I’d say the arm holds pretty well. The light is great, the arm has too many places to adjust (tighten) but it works for my needs. I use it to hold a projector to decorate cookies, and it seems to loosen easily so it doesn’t always hold the projector well.
