The media could not be loaded. Im going to call a win a win for the price point I think this is doing everything I need it to do it provides shade and was fairly easy to assemble don’t be intimidated! The only problem for me is there were a few dings in a few of the post and I had to unbend two of the post connectors with pliers it’s not noticeable but I wouldn’t have been able to assemble it otherwise…. Not sure if it shipped like that or if it was mishandled either way it wasn’t perfect maybe better packaging could solve that issue I don’t know but I’m keeping mine 😁 ... show more

Generally of good quality and assembly instructions are clear, if you can read pictures. Some of the main support pieces arrived bent/crushed. I e-mailed the vendor, pending a response. Specifically, two of the corner posts (one C1, and one C2) were creased along the length and where the tube attaches to the base plates, they were crushed in. Attempts to straighten with wooden wedges to force the opening wider and to create a uniform square worked with limited effectiveness. Paint on those ends was damaged and I expect that metal fatigue will make the C1/C2 supports less than optimal. One of the photos depicts the end after efforts to straighten. The photo of the second end was taken before. Both obviously have some metal fatigue from being bent and straightened. The Corner supports could definitely benefit from plastic inserts in the bottoms of the support like they have on the top of the supports to protect them during transit. Value is good, but I purchased this one due to the exact dimensions, which fit perfectly on my deck. Like I said, the graphic based instructions were simple to follow. I gave it only three stars for sturdiness and overall due to the condition in which it was received. If the two corner posts are replaced, I'll update the review. ... show more

Have a 16 by 16 patio used it for the cover for the patio door area , was easy to put together but need more than one person to do, did need to put extra bracing up around the leg area for extra support for the winds in Indiana but other than that great.

I'm loving this pergola! It looks great and it's great that the shade is optional. I put it together by myself. It was a challenge, but doable. I'm sure with two people, as the directions suggest, it's a much easier process, but I was eager to get it done and didn't want to wait. It's the perfect addition to my backyard! ... show more

It took me about 4 hours to assemble this alone while watching my 3 year old. Directions are idiot proof. The only mildly irritating part was attaching the shade— could’ve used another person but still was easy enough alone. Super easy as long as you have a step ladder. One thing to know is that you can’t retract all the way to one side because of one of the connectors but you can retract both ends and meet / store in the middle 1 month later Changed the stars down to 3. The canvas ripped. We spent a good portion of the summer making sure there was no water accumulating and this seemed to have ripped some other way ... show more

Although the item was boxed there needs to be more protections added. The poles were dented and had scratches on them. Also the color says gray, but it looks more like a blue than anything. Too much of a hassle to return. So we still have to keep it, but am totally not satisfied.
