Assembly was pretty simple. Takes a few hours at most. The cords provided can be figured out by just about anyone. The tabletop itself is a little more flimsier than I had hoped. It comes in 4 wooden pieces that are held together by screws I don't necessarily trust. However, I have given it a little bit of a stress test and it does hold up but I wouldn't trust a large amount of weight near the end. If this became a real problem then the tabletop could easily be replaced by a trip to a hardware store. The legs seem to adjust just fine no matter the weight on top. It also will crush anything below if you adjust down so be careful, I bent a metal shelf (which is a pro for the table I guess?). Cup holder fits all my coffee mugs so that is also a plus. I normally am a major skeptic when it comes to buying things off of Amazon when it comes to furniture, but this desk came absolutely amazing. It was pretty easy to assemble does require two people, but every screw fit into place and they were extra screws to use if something was missing, the desk itself is extremely sturdy and the motorized equipment works pretty well. It’s a standing desk, it’s pretty nice. Most desks this size are almost double the price and it was hard to make that purchase. I got this in and it was really easy to build once I figured some stuff out. One thing, the metal pieces aren’t labeled. It’s not a big deal because most of them are interchangeable, except for the supports that line the bottom of the desk space itself. I had to lay everything out and really look at it to figure it out. It only took a minute or two, but it set the tone for the build that, ironically, went upward the entire time. Once you get that odd first step done, it is really simple. I bought the larger desk size and did it all by myself but I had a massive unfurnished living room to move around in. One thing, too, is that the tabletop will come in four pieces. It’s obvious, but when building it and moving it, it was hard to believe that it would take my monitor mount safely. I used a vertical mount to put over/under 34” ultrawides and under that weight, the desk still functions as expected. It’s been a week now and I was expecting to see some flexing but have not. Oh, and there’s not adequate mounting options for the power source. You will need to get double sided tape at the bare minimum, or rig up something more permanent. They give you these cable clips that they intend for you to secure it up with, but the wall cable is removable so the only real option to secure it is the cable to the button controller. Mine is drooping, but it’s still working so I’m not too concerned, at least until some double sided tape arrives. ... show more

For the price this desk is totally worth it, as opposed to just buying a frame without a tabletop. The dual motors make raising and lowering the desk pretty fast and I've had no issues with the controller so far. The tabletop is the weakest point. It comes in four sections which makes installation a bit tricky. If you follow the instructions and do not set the screws until everything is in place you should be okay. I say that because if you tighten down a screw, and then need to loosen it, that screw will not fit securely anymore. I had followed these instructions and still had issues when I went to move the desk into position. All the screws holding one of the panels popped out while moving the desk and could not be replaced. I have two of these desks, and with the lessons learned from building the first one, I had zero issues with the second one. Learn from me lol. I contacted customer support, they were quick and efficient and in my opinion they did the best to help my situation. In conclusion, I purchased this desk knowing the tabletop might be an issue but for the price I figured I could always purchase or create my own. ... show more

I purchased the 63" version of the desk. It arrived within a few days of ordering -- just as promised on the order page. Set up took me about 2 hours total. I did everything by myself except that I asked my son to help me flip it back over after the assembly was completed. This is heavy, so many people probably not be able to put this together on their own. Probably a little more than half of the weight is in the metal support frame and legs (where the lifting mechanisms reside). The table top is fiberboard so that is the rest of the weight. If you purchase shorter versions the weight will be a little less. The instructions are not super complicated, but they do require some thought, patience, and careful comparing the parts from the box to the diagrams in the instructions. Nearly all of the parts in my package were labeled to match the instructions. It can be very helpful to have a cordless drill with a driver bit to make screwing things in faster, but it is not necessary. Many of the screws were hex-head, but a hex wrench was provided; there were a few phillips head screws, too. If you are not familiar with how zip-ties work, then the cable ties provided might be confusing -- the instructions were not very helpful with those. I thought the worst part of the instructions was the last step about installing the power supply under the desk. Very poorly written. Essentially you attach the power supply to the underside of the desk by using the cable ties to attach the power supply cords to the underside of the desk. The power supply itself is not physically attached to the desk. (Be very sure about how you attach the power supply cords/cables since that is how you hold it in place.
