This is a cold to extreme cold weather jacket. As others have mentioned, it does come one size larger. For those who plan to use it for extreme cold weather, this allows you to "layer" other clothing under the jacket. For those who do not wish to do this, order one size smaller. Pros: 1. Warm 2. Large for size - Allows layering of clothes 3. Water Resistant 5. Economically Prices Cons: 1. Does not breath well (reason why it's warm - well insulated)(also reason for water resistance) 2. I'm not impressed, nor am I completely dissatisfied. The hanger loop broke the first time I tried to hang it up by it so now it hangs from the hood. It's a pretty warm jacket for most of the time if it's just a bit cold but when it gets really cold, like below freezing I needed an extra layer such as a hooded sweat shirt. I say hooded because although the hood itself on this jacket seems that it would fit well IF the chin strap was longer. I'm not a big person by any standard, 5'7" 160lb and the chin/neck strap won't even come close to fitting. It's not nearly long enough to get closed by the velcro that's supposed to keep it closed so the hood just blows off my head with even the slightest amount of air movement so the hood is not useful to me. I usually wear a warm hat or baklava when it's really cold out but I still like to have the extra layer of a useful outer wind and water resistant jacket hood. All it does on this jacket is blow around in the wind so I just removed it. It zips on and off so if you have a super petite head and neck area and the hood works for you that's a plus. I'm always concerned about the zippers on inexpensive items but so far these are doing OK. Make sure to keep the main front pockets zipped if you have anything you want to keep in there though because if you don't things will fall out. It has a decent inside pocket on the left inside chest area but this pocket doesn't have a zipper. It's an ok jacket at best but I don't count on it for deep cold or anything that requires a hood. The only use for the hood on mine is to hang it up because the loop broke immediately. Makes me a little concerned about the rest of the material but I don't plan on using this jacket for anything too demanding. ... show more
