Great Camcorder for beginners or casual uses :) I'm giving 3.5 stars for this product as beginners or casual use. This product comes with almost everything you need to start filming instantly. The rig, light, Shot gun mic (Which is not a good quality) and the extra wide lens too. So, the quality of the image is acceptable, but for the heavy user or professionals, it is not a good option. I only recommend for armatures that simply want have some kind of good camcorder that doesn't brake the bank :) Image stabilization is acceptable too, so as long as you know how to set up the camera, I'm sure you can film decent movies. I needed something that I could use to livestream one of my organizations programs, so I got this hoping it would do the trick. The video quality looks good, but the audio using the external microphone was awful.     • Not a bad choice if you want the camcorder form factor
This isn't a bad camera if you have your heart set on the camcorder form factor. I guess it would make a good 'all in one' kit for a novice or for casual use. It comes with a nice case and a ton of accessories including a remote, a 64GB SD card, an extra battery, a LED light, a shotgun mic, a macro lens, a wide angle lens, etc. The problem I have with products that come with a slew of accessories is a) they're seldom high quality and b) the resources are better served in making a superior camera. As for the accessories--the light is serviceable as are the extra lenses, the SD card is fine, the remote is decent, the extra battery is a nice touch, the case is decent but the shotgun mic is awful. Oddly enough, the built in mic isn't too bad. The specs ore the camera are OK, but far from 'cutting edge'. I've got a couple of camcorders at lower price points that actually outperform this camera. True, they didn't come with a nice case and a boatload of accessories but that's the basic point I was making above. I guess that I'm not the 'target market' for this camera. It would be much better for someone like my mom who would like to shoot some video but wouldn't know what accessories to buy. This is a nice camcorder kit for a weekender, beginner, or someone who needs a complete setup but doesn't need "top of the line" gear or quality. It comes in a really nice case with ample accessories such as a handle, microphone, light, different lenses, and a SD card. For an off brand this is a pretty decent camera. It comes in a very nice carry case with all the essential accessories. It has a12x optical zoom, which is good, but not great. The picture quality and colors are also good, but not great. This camera is good for taking video of family, blogs, animals, vacations, or nature. But not really for high quality movies. There are a lot of things about this camcorder that I really like, but nothing I was blown away by. Even so, if you're looking for a decent camcorder for home movies, web stuff, or casual videos, this is a very, very good option. Pros: - Great carrying case that holds everything - Shotgun microphone, light, and wide angle lens - Good (not great) color and sharpness - Comes with a 64GB SD card, which will record a LOT of video before you need to download (though I recommend downloading often to avoid catastrophes) - Video and photo - 12x optical zoom (this is good but far from name brand options at a similar price point) - Comes with just about every cable you need to get going - 2 batteries and charger Cons: - SD card loads on the bottom, which can be an issue if you have this mounted on a tripod - Color, sharpness, and brightness are not top-of-the-line but good enough for most home and casual purposes - On-screen menu is not intuitive If you're doing videos of yourself, friends, or family and not trying to make cinema-quality movies, this camcorder will do all of that, as well as let you use it as a webcam. I love it iv had others camcorders in the past but non have ever been this nice after getting use to the location of the buttons I don’t need to look for the bottom I need the remote is handy for ands free use on the tripod the Wi-Fi mode isn’t the best but it works well enough I was testing out the light that comes with it and seeing how well it works with the the Wi-Fi mode the lights work well on the recording of video for the camcorder it self not so much for the Wi-Fi but it’s a gray setting to have when I’m recording outside haven used the macro lens that comes with it it comes with a nice cloth fome lined case me I’m a cults so I’m going to get a hard case and make the cut outs for it as I’m tipping this I have not taken any goo videos with it so I won’t post any video now I will in the upcoming week or so ... show more
