    • Solid Product, Crap Hardware.
The jackplate itself is great. The bolts and spacers that come with to mount the jack to the jackplate are inadequate. The bolts were too short. This would cause the aluminum brackets to bend in order to barely get the nylon nut on causing strain on the unit. The spacers it comes with are a joke and don't do anything. I went to the hardware store and bought the proper bolt length, and also bought the proper spacers. Now the jack sits centered and supported with the spacers on the top and the bottom without bending the aluminum brackets. ... show more

Makes setting engine height Easy. Only thing, if you have a motor that is over 150 lbs you need to go with the next size up plate. The owner John is great to work with an will answer any questions you have.

    • Awesome ingenuity and great design
It is a awesome design and amazing functionality although these measurements should be added to the description. The predrilled holes are 8 1/2 inches apart and are from the top of the mount 1 1/4 and 9 1/2 both from the top of the mount. Here's my problem, the bottom predrilled holes of the mount are about 2 inches past my transom board because I didn't do a full transom. I see that the bottom mount can be moved up by removing the 4 hex bolts the redrilling new holes and possibly voiding the warranty.. This could have all been solved with that bottom mount being bigger without sacrificing height by raising the mount up. Now I've thought of another way to solve my problem would be raising the whole jack plate approximately an inch and half and drilling below the top 2 predrilled holes. Although I don't know what the effect would be. ... show more

Simple installation, great design, improves boat performance. This has allowed me to reach more location with my boat now that I can draft a lot shallower.

Very limited application. Had to return it because it would not work for my kicker motor it’s designed with a crank handle that gets in the way of tran-board

Love this jackplate. so easy to raise the outboard to run extremely shallow water with no issues. Way better then other jackplates just crank it up and down as needed no having to stop and get tools to raise or lower outboard. Best manual jackplate on the market.
