I loved the large color assortment and the low price, quality paint. Plus you get skin color, florescent colors, and about 4-5 variation of your basic colors, such as greens, blues, purples, reds, etc...Wow!!!! I also love the glossy finish. Not too intense, but enough to make it look good. It also helps after it's dry to wipe off mistakes and messes. This set is really perfect for the beginner because it starts you out with everything you need at a very reasonable price. To see if it's something you're interested in continuing to pursue without a huge investment upfront. All the colors you need with the 40 choices this pack offers. Also, the replacement tips are a bargain. You pay $8 just for 5 tips. It's like buying two packages of tips and only being charged an additional $4.00 for the 40 paint pens. Wow wee! That's what I call value! Hahaha!!! 10 extra tips included. I try to rince my tipes either before use or at the end of painting session. Right before putting them away. This helps extend tip longevity. However, this is a unique acrylic paint. It's flat going on (you can spray with acrylic clear coat over finished art work to add protection and sheen. This ink has held up for over 2 years for me. I put my painting on hold for over a year. Most of the pens where still good to go after shaking all pens in case, before pulling out for individual use. Shake between 20 - 60 times until paint is mixed. If tip dries out, hold at 45°angle and rotate pen while holding tip on the paper. The trick is to crack the dried paint which tends to accumulate on tip. It's easy and breaks paint off of tip and in most cases you're good to go. See pictures ... show more

The pens are easy to use and the colors are rich and bold, not thin. They work like a dream for outlining and filling in areas. They do not drip or leak. I love these- no weird smell, very pigmented, most colors are very opaque. they’re really good for small details and can also be tilted to fill in larger areas. My only issue is i wish the hues were a bit more distributed. Specifically i wish there were more reds (not pink) and a couple darker browns. there’s quite a few colors that are fairly close in hue and then only one red pen. Not a big deal though because they clearly show you what colors you are getting, I just think a set of 40 should have a bit more variation in the primary colors. ... show more

Amazing color selection, tips are great and fine tipped, but they splatter when you open them. Also some of them were not fully filled when brand new. Would buy again but they're not perfect.

These are the best paint markers I have purchased. Doesn’t take much before the paint comes out, and they dry pretty quickly too.

    • I like the color variety and control
I am mostly a painter and wanted a marker set to assist. These are perfect. I have actually done a few rocks in marker only and I am very pleased. Be sure to shake them up really good before using. Also burp (I use top of cap and push tip of marker down) I always keep a scrap paper next to me when painting. I use this to push the tip a few times to get paint flowing. Also use paper to make sure it is color expected and good flow. Also remember this is paint not ink. Paint can dry on tip so check tip on subsequent uses. I use a damp paper towel to make sure there are no dry bits of paint on tip. I learned all these tips in a rock group and I am enjoying these pens. ... show more

    • Nice colors
I liked the colors of these pens. They came in a zippered canvas case and very easy to use. The consistency was a little loose, but it dries well and you can get away with one coat, but it’s better with 2. Be careful when using with stencils on a clay pot, they run! Even though I taped the stencils it still found it’s way to run under it and didn’t notice it until is was dried. Thank goodness I was on a practice pot, because they are truly permanent and waterproof. I found if you go lightly on the first coat then you can follow up with a second without running. They are worth the money and they are bigger than the usual paint pens. I do recommend this product and looking forward to rock painting with them! Also, when waiting for the pen to fill no need to keep depressing the tip, push once and it will fill automatically even if it is slow at first. Found out the hard way on that, I depressed and kept pressure on the tip and it did flatten it just a tad, but you do not need to do that, and the pen is still able to fine detail so no damage done. ... show more

    • Issues With Some of Them
The colors are beautiful but over half of them were dried up and some had no paint in them. I didn't use them right away so was too late to return them. UPDATE : An Ohuhu representative saw my post and contacted me. Although it was too late to return to Amazon for a refund....Ohuhu gave me a refund and told me to keep the markers. I've dealt with a very small issue with them once before and they went out of their way to help then also. They have SUPER customer service and I will never hesitate to order from them!!! ... show more
