  • Camping
This is a good quality made product and I love that it comes with everything you need. It all packs away in a small compact carrying case perfect for all camping and hiking.

  • A robust set
Get everything in one package. Metal is very light, but it does the job. I can see these lasting until my kids start taking their own kids camping. Silverware is…weird, but useable. Pots/kettle heat up nicely and have decently insulated handles. Cups are a great addition. Water jug…eh…it exists? That’s probably the weakest part of the kit. ... show more

  • Some good, some bad, but seems pretty good overall so far. Lots of comments.
I expected an affordable lightweight camping set to be small and be less than perfectly ideal, and it is, but overall it seems very workable for its purpose and well worth the price. I'll give a full initial review before use and hope to update it later - but 3 things were not as pictured. Carrying Case: Personally, so far my only significant and unexpected complaint is that the travel bag seems very flimsy and is not the half-mesh style that was pictured. The bag pictured was half-mesh to allow airflow for things to continue to dry if not 100% dry when packed was a significant part of why I chose this set - being flimsy and fully enclosed was a disappointment as soon as I opened the box. Though the bag does leave a little extra room if you want to add something to it - such as the bonus collapsible bucker which fits in nicely, though the collapsible water jug wouldn't fit. Cookware: Overall feels ok, but not very sturdy, so take care not to crush/bang/scratch. --Pots & Pan: They seem sufficient for 2 people, but they might be a bit small to really cook for 4. The folding handles don't secure or lock into position and seem a bit easy to have shift/sway. Since they're two arms it seems they could have clipped together in some way for greater security. The handle/grip to both pot lids arrived a little loose and had to be hand tightened, only a concern if that recurs and or worsens over time - don't want them to fall/break off, especially while in use! The write-up didn't say they had vented/strainer lids - and they're not, but I had kinda been hoping they were and it seems silly not to be. --Kettle: The lid is vented, but the kettle handle is not fully insulated as in the picture, and the insulated part seems a bit small for an adult hand. Tableware: --Plate/bowl combo things: They aren't quite enough of a plate or a bowl to be very useful as either and just end up being an ineffective compromise. As a plate there's not enough flat space to be an effective plate where you can use a knife and fork to cut anything. As a bowl it's not deep enough to hold much and looks like just dipping into it might send anything very liquidy spilling right over the edge. They might work as a bowl for some things (especially those that are dense/sticky) like oatmeal, eggs, rice, beans, a small salad (maybe milkless cereal?) - but not soup, stew, cereal with milk. As a plate it seems fine for a burger, pre-cut meat chunks, maybe a hotdog - but again nothing you actually need to cut with a knife and fork - just not enough flat space. **Note**: I separately ordered a set of 4 flat 8-inch stainless steel kids plates and they fit perfectly between the pan and the pots: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PJ57NLB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 --Cups: Small as expected, if you drink much you'll be refilling them often, but they pack well and seem durable. --Insulating silicone cup protectors had three issues. First, they just don't cover enough to be very effective, unless you hold the cup with only three fingers you're going to end up touching the metal - not a big deal for me since I don't expect to be drinking hot things out of them all that often (we plan to have something separate for coffee/soup). Second, they are pictured in four colors (blue, red, yellowish-green, and grey), which seems handy for not mixing up which cup belongs to who, but we got two in the same color (two yellowish-green and no grey at all). Lastly, taking the insulating silicone cup protectors on and off is a bit of a pain and it seems silly they weren't designed to allow them to be stored with the protectors on (you need to take them all off to bundle them together and stuff them in the topmost cup). --Folding Cutlery: Surprisingly decent. Note that they have a lock to prevent them from folding while in use. The spoon won't hold much and will work best with things that are dense/sticky, but the knife has a fairly decent cutting edge to it for something like this. The size isn't ideal, but good for a travel set and sized to be between adult and child so they work well enough for any age. Each set comes in its own little velcro bag, which seems helpful to be sure they don't scratch the non-stick coating on the cookware when packed up, and they store well - I pretty easily fit three sets inside the kettle before tucking the cups in. **Note**: you may want to bring plastic cutlery and or cooking utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick coating on the cookware. Bonus Items: --Collapsible Bucket: Unexpectedly came in its own small drawstring bag which I was concerned it would be hard to fit back into, but it works rather well. It's not all that big, but seems sufficient for several purposes such as washing hands, washing dishes, gathering/carrying water, using as a small open cooler full of ice. --Collapsible Water Jug: **NOTE**: Unscrew/remove the spigot before trying to unfold - when fully sealed/packed it's vacuum-tight and may tear if pulled. From other reviews I expected it to be more flimsy than it seems. Clearly, it's not overly sturdy, but with some gentle handling I think it will be ok for a fair while, but things like this won't last forever. Some reviews talked about it leaking from the spigot and being unsteady so it might roll/fall - I would assume when full you should leave it spigot up and turn it over to use it, and or store it on the ground or secured between other things. ... show more

  • Great product! Great for backpacking! Can't wait to use it.😄
Nothing to dislike about the product. Nice and compact for backpacking. I like the pot lid handles. In the past I've used some that had a metal ring for the lid handles. The ring would heat up and burn your fingers when you try to take the lid off. This will work so much better!

  • Versatile, comprehensive camping mess kit
So far, I am very happy with this mess kit. We were able to produce a variety of dishes simultaneously and eat everything together as a meal while the food was still hot! In total, we have made 7 meals with this set using a combination of a campfire grate and portable propane stove. The collapsible basin is also useful for food preparation and especially for clean-up. Meal preparation is time consuming with camping but this kit definitely made it quicker and less painful. The only component that did not do so well was the collapsible water jug. It does not sit very well when filled with water and will roll around slightly. It is also difficult to fill. The flow of water from the spigot is somewhat weak. Unfortunately, we set it on the edge of the table to make use of the spigot and it rolled forward enough to fall off the table (when we were not paying attention), striking the ground, and exploding like a water balloon. I consider it a negligible loss. ... show more

  • Pots and pan sticks
I took this little set for the first time this weekend. Although overall use is fine, there are major flaws in the designs. 1. Pots: great to make Curries and soups. Not so great to cook rice. Half of my rice was over cooked and half was still raw. Again, this might be the user error on my part. 2. Frying Pan: Although it said it is nonstick, everything was sticking to the pan. I fried some bacon, eggs, and toast. Every single one of these items sticks to the pan. 3. Water kettle: This is the only one that's good with no flaws because it boiled the water quickly. 4. Plates: They are great although they are a bit small. 5. Utensils: They fold in the wrong way. When trying to eat, it will fold back when pressure is applied. 6. Water bag: it broke on the second day. The water was leaking from where the spout is. 7. Wash bag: This is a plus for me. It worked great in carrying dirty dishes to and from the water source. I am debating on if I should return the set. ... show more
