This rug is perfect for what I wanted. I love the pattern and two heights. It's soft and cozy like a standard carpet. This is the 8x10 under a queen sized bed. There is 14.5 inches on either side of the bed for warm toes in the morning. (Measured from the chunky legs to the edge to get it centered, so maybe a little more where you actually stand). It looks and feels substantial. The recommendation is to have a pad to keep it from slipping. While setting it up, it wasn't prone to slipping on the wood floor. With it anchored by the bed, it's not an issue. So I can't really say if it would slip if it was out in the open with kids and pets running around. Love the carpet!! The reviews are all right. This was beautiful, so very soft and plush, and good quality, especially for the price. The strokes are more of a brownish gray but the rug is cream color. It did have a little new carpet smell when we first got it. Especially since it was sitting out on our front porch in the hot sun most of the day. So when I rolled it out, it was a little moist feeling and stinky. I immediately sprayed with a little Febreeze, turned on the fan and let it sit with nothing on it for about an hour. I had to use weights to hold down the edges too. I was worried about buying a rug over the net without putting my hands on it first, but after reading other reviews I decided to risk and and am glad I did. After unpacking, a quick vacuum fluffs it up and overall it is a very plush and comfortable rug. Heavy weight. Color is true to the pictures. My only complaint is the packing. It was rolled such that one end was bend backward so it still hasn't flattened on my floor...a bit of a trip hazard. Love the rug, but please roll to make more flattening when unrolled.

First of all, beautiful pattern, but also is really comfortable for laying on the floor when I need to streatch my back. I actually find myself on the floor more often now. I fell asleep with my dog the other night while comforting her during a storm and when I awoke, I realized how comfortable my living room floor is to lay on now! LoL I was concerned about debris getting down in the pile and not being able to clean it well, but it vacuums up very well. ... show more

    • TOXIC STENCH Asphyxiation...
I should of opened it when it arrived, but I waited about a month while my renovations took place. Needless to say when it was unrolled, the toxic stench that rolled off that rug was dizzying. It literally is giving me headaches. Opened windows, turned on fans, vacuumed for over 2 months - we are now first part of January - and it still is emitting toxic fumes. I rolled it up and stuffed it into my closet - perhaps I need to just throw it away. Visually the rug looks fine sans the creases in the rug when I unrolled it. Someone else lamented about their creases - I should of listened. They don't flatten out despite 30 pound boxes being placed for 2 months. Yes it looks nice, Yes it's relatively soft - thought not very. It contains creases that are impossible to correct. Cozy? lol - no. Plush? enh. Yes the color is accurate. But if you can't use it because it's emitting toxic fumes 2 months after being rolled out, then it's worthless. SAVE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT BUY THIS RUG! Go to home depot or some other brick and mortar store and try your luck there - chances are you won't end up with a 180 dollar rug that will asphyxiate you. 1 star is generous... ... show more

I was a little uncertain about ordering this because it was difficult to tell the true color of the rug as shown on the website. My biggest concern was that it was going to be "too white". When it arrived, I was really pleased that the color is actually more beige than white. The quality of the rug is very good and there was no odor at all from it. I wish they offered it in different colors as I would like another one for a different room. ... show more
