I love this mattress foundation! My son’s mattress came with a matching box spring but it made his bed WAY too tall. (We had to put a stool next to the bed so he could climb in and out!) Luckily I found this one which is half the height of his original box spring. It hasn’t squeaked at all and seems very sturdy! As soon as I got the cover on (which was a real fight btw) it looks like a traditional box spring. Word of advice: don’t skip the cover. The picture shows that the cover is grey on the sides, which is partly why I bought it since grey would match my bed frame. This was easy to assemble. They supplied an Allen wrench but the only other tool I needed was a screwdriver. It fit perfectly onto the bed frame and helped lower the mattress height to make it easier for my 90+ parents to get in and out of bed. It really looks great too with the cover supplied. I am so glad I bought this box spring, and at a bargain. It raises the profile of the bed just enough to make the daily chore of making my bed much easier! Everything went together ok. But when we put the cover on it was very tight. We had a hard time with the zipper. When we where zipping it the zipper started to open up on the other side. So one of us held it together while the other zipped it up. Then the zipper and the material started to come apart.
