These are great running shorts! The fabric doesn't bind or chafe which is usually the problem I have with running shorts. It's very breathable with built-in fishnet liner so they stay dry and cool during a run. The pockets are sewn into the shorts leg so they don't flop around, which lets me keep my phone in my pocket on a run without it swinging around and banging into my leg. There's a lot to like about these shorts! They're slightly stretchy (horizontally only) but they're still very comfortable. At no point during a tough workout did I ever feel these were prohibiting movement. - There's 3 zippered pockets (2 sides, 1 rear) - side pockets are big enough to fit my phone (pixel7 with caseology case). - Stitching seems OK for the price. - The inner drawstrings can stay inside the shorts, no need to make them visible at all - Aglets on the shorts seem to be an afterthought. It's just small, cheap plastic (no deduction in stars for that). - There's a small reflective on design on the shorts on both legs & the Northyard "U" logo on the front; there's nothing on the back side & the navy blue I ordered is on the dark side so I wouldn't recommend running with these outside if it's dark outside. Overall, I like these shorts a lot but I think $25 is as high as I would pay for these shorts as there's no standout features that makes me fall in love with them (if that is such a thing). 4/5 ... show more

These are made/sewn very well, material is excellent, soft and breathable and the length is a little long (for my style) but they are perfect regardless. These are a great value and I am recommending the to all friends/family who wear shorts such as these often.

From the materials to the fit and zippered pockets this is a all around great running short. Soft stretchy but also comfortable and durable shorts. Secured zipper pockets elastic band and draw string. Pockets don't stretch so your phone won't bang around while you run.

These are surprisingly nice for working out at the gym. They are a little bit shorter than I would prefer, but they fit well and feel great. The zippered pockets provide nice security to keep your phone from falling out while you're tilted, hanging, or whatever as you work out.
