What can I say was a little pricier than going to Home Depot or Lowe’s at the Lowe’s product I got is the initial layer had a lot of like extra filter material in it as opposed to this product where it was really fine and higher quality so I guess you get what you pay for

Got the bag home opened it up and was accosted by a swarm of knats escaping from captivity. Those that were able to get out before I closed the bag back went on to infest all the plants in the room. Guess the warehouse has a knats problem. Soil grows plants!!!

Very natural, rich blend of great ingredients for planting and nourishing my wildflower shade plants in raised boxes in my newly cleared out shady glade. I continue to love Coast of Maine products. I'd never tried this one before but it's great for this new purpose, and was very easy to tip into the raised beds. Also had quick delivery right to our home from a nursery, and the nursery was cordial and helpful on the phone when I had a question and wanted the bags delivered to a particular spot next to our driveway. My cukes and zukes are absolutely flourishing in this soil. Have had minimal pest issues, no mold, virtually no weeds, and the plants are growing stronger every day because they have all the nutrients they need from this soil. Only thing I have used in addition to it is a base layer of compost and bi-weekly, liquid feeding. This is the only raised bed soil I will use from now on!
