    • Cute set, but contains mislabeled and incorrect pieces
I really wanted to give this table and chair set a 5-star rating because it's very cute, and it's exactly what I wanted. It's fairly easy to put together if you already have some light experience with tools, however you'll need some time, strength, and at least one other person to help put on the top of the table. There were a few small scratches in the stain on the legs of the chairs, that were thankfully easily fixed with a brown Sharpie (for the cherry color, at least). The table was in perfect condition and packaged well. However, the product itself has some serious issues when it comes to assembly and parts labeling and which parts were included. The chair legs that were received were ALL mislabeled - all of the right legs were labeled "L" and the left legs were labeled "R." I can only imagine how many confused customers have had to call customer service over this issue. Luckily, I was able to figure it out before I started putting screw holes in the wrong spaces. Then, when I finally got to the last chair assembly, I only had 2 right (labeled "L") legs left so I could not finish assembling it. After calling the customer service number, we explained the problem with the mislabeling and requested that they please send both an "L" and an "R" leg, just in case they were mislabeled again. But they were only willing to send out one leg, and guess what happened? They decided to send one labeled "L," which of course was actually another right leg, so it was the wrong leg yet again. After receiving yet another wrong leg as a replacement, we had to call customer service again to tell them they need to send another leg - but this time please send the correct one! This time we actually did receive the correct leg and I've finally been able to complete the last chair after nearly a full month of headaches with this problem (received on June 26, called first time June 28, finally received correct replacement leg and finished assembly on July 23). If the company would have been willing to send out 2 replacement legs the first time - especially after being told about the mislabeling problem - I wouldn't have had to call them again. They ended up having to spend MORE money on shipping since they had to ship a replacement to me twice, instead of just shipping 2 of each leg the first time, as requested to try and avoid this predicted issue. This is a pretty serious issue, which is why I'm including all of this in my review. Hopefully the company will reassess their quality control with the labeling of legs and ensure that all of the correct parts are included in each package in the future. And hopefully the company will listen to its customers in the future when the customers tell them about the mislabeling and the concern over receiving yet another mislabeled - and thus wrong - leg. ... show more

Soon we will be empty nesters and after raising 5 daughters we were excited to downsize our life. We moved into a smaller home and wanted to purchase a smaller table to replace our large farmhouse table. I searched for several months and decided on this table. The height, circumference, and style matched what we were looking for so we took a chance and ordered this table online. We knew that at this price point we were not ordering a table that would have stood up to a lot of wear and tear and we are pleased with the purchase. The shipping was satisfactory. The only issue was that the package wasn’t delivered until after 7pm on the delivery day. This was frustrating because we had taken the day off from work so we could assemble the table as we had a large holiday party planned for the next day. I don’t think this had anything to do with Amazon and it did not affect my review scores. The packaging was good with nothing damaged. The table and chairs took approximately 2 hours to assemble. The directions were “ok”, according to my husband, and I heard very few swear words so that means that assembly wasn’t too complicated. The table is lovely has nice touches that make it look classy. The table top has a nice wood grain design that really adds to its appearance. I have concerns about possibly getting water marks if someone were to leave something wet on the table long-term so we have used general care and the table is holding up nicely. The color of fabric on the chairs is a gray toned beige or “dirty gray” as my husband calls it. The shelves under the table are larger than I visualized and the work nicely for decorative storage. All and all we are pleased with the look and quality of this table. We would recommended it for others who are seeking an affordable, attractive “grownup” table. Since I haven’t had the table for very long I don’t want to make any negative assumptions but I don’t think this would be the best table for a family with smaller children. I would be concerned about kids climbing up and down on the chairs. They are not very heavy and could be easily tipped over and the wood rungs don’t feel sturdy enough to hold a ton of weight. Also, I again would be concerned about the table top being easily scratched or damaged by the kiddos. I hope this was helpful for those still looking for a table to fit their needs. 😊 ... show more

    • All in All, You Get What You Pay For - Not a bad thing...
This was a good buy in terms of getting an "instant dining room" -- 4 chairs and a dining table with a good enough wood finish and stable enough components. Neither table nor chairs rocked after assembly. Process of assembly was straight forward and easy enough. The table has 2 levels of "storage" shelves integrated, which will come in handy for college kids. However, the seat cushions are only screwed into the chair frames with simple wood screws. I'm confident, the chair bases are some kind of particle board wood, not a solid beam read to take on a good connection from a wood screw. That said, you can expect one of the standard issue wood screws (at least) not to "catch" the seat bottom. Luckily, I collect screws of all sorts from purchases past. Therefore, I swapped out a slightly longer wood screw and pushed past the point where the manufacturer's screw failed. Again, you almost have to expect this sort of problem given the price point. I expect the stuff will last a few years and be finished. If you can find this for mid three hundred dollars, then grab it. One issue I did not raise but should have was the packaging was badly damaged. My table surface had a slight blemish in the stained finish. I will ask for a credit of some sort for that because it was a noticeable defect. ... show more
