The media could not be loaded. Bought this light thinking it would be a great key light for my little at home studio setup, however what I didn’t expect was to actually take this light to semi professional video shoots. The light feels much more powerful than other 65W lights I’ve used before. Feels closer to 80W. Paired with a Neewer lantern, this little light was able to be a fairly good key light in indoor shoots, and acted as a great rim light in certain night time shoots. The build quality is very very impressive. I’ve worked with godox and Amaran lights which, while having more powerful output, had primarily plastic builds. This light is 85% metal. It feels VERY solid. I was so impressed taking it out of the box, I could t believe how much quality I was getting for the price. There’s a number of effects that the light has, useful for giving scenes a certain “look”. The light comes with the bowens mount detached, probably for easier transport. The carrying case is soft, nothing to write home about but it gets the job done. The app could use a little work, had a few hiccups trying to connect it in the beginning, but once I got it paired successfully it’s been smooth sailing since. Overall, can’t recommend this light enough. It’s genuinely a very very impressive light. If you’re debating between this light or a comparable Amaran or godox and build quality is a priority, don’t hesitate, save some money and get this one, you won’t regret it! ... show more

Good light...not as bright as I hoped...but adequate. The Neewer brand has seriously upped the game for people starting out with photo/video and making lighting accessible. Overall solid unit, not as bright as I had hoped but it will do.

I use 3 of these for a small set up and absolutely love them. They are quick to setup and with the batteries (sold separately) they are very fast to put up and tear down. No searching for an outlet and no dragging chords around and taping things down. I love the app to control these with, it's very easy to use and so far haven't had any major issues with the app or using the lights with the app. I do wish the Bowens mount was just built into the light rather than having an adapter. The adapter feels a bit on the cheap side but so far I haven't had any issues with it. It's just one more thing to fuss with during set up that could save a few minutes of time if they just made it part of the light. The power button and controls on the back are very easy to figure out and I like the simplicity. You can plug these lights into a power adapter if you like and on anything longer than 2 hours a full power I would recommend unless you have backup batteries to swap out. Which would take less than a minute to do. My only issue with these lights is that I wish they included the batteries to begin with. Seems like a bit of a money grab to just not include them, escpecially when they include the V-Mount adapter to hold the batteries. The fan is super quiet. I haven't heard it come on but I imagine it is on. So far so good and I'd recommend for an affordable light weight set up. ... show more

When you don't want or need to bring a heavy duty more powerful production light. This works perfect for jobs that could use just a little extra lighting on the go for video or photo. For this light it is about its portability and ability to move it anywhere needed easily. I have too many NPF batteries now have a great use for them. ... show more

Provides descent power for price. Has slightly above average features at this price point. Not a budget light, not a premium professional light. I do wish the chip protector was not built of plastic but instead, invest a buck into making it aluminum. I knew not to leave it on but within 5 uses I already left it on while powering up. Realized my mistake within minutes as the smell of burning plastic drifted through the air. It’s now completed melted and warped. Just a little extra features that would save users headaches and make them more loyal to brand. Everything else seems good for price….but not much more. ... show more

Great portable 60 Watt bi-color COB light. As always with all things photographic and video related I agonize over such purchases like the fate of the world depends on it. TLDR; I read through all the usual suspect's offerings -- but there always seemed to be some deal breaker (including price). Not this. Ticked all the boxes and at the right price. App is terrific and easy to set-up (at least on Android). -- Okay, so maybe it doesn't come with a bag of chips, but it may as well have had one in the carrying case. Did I mention it comes with a carrying case? And a full-sized bowens mount adapter? And a battery plate? And a pretty long AC power cord, and... ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I got both both Amaran 60Xs and neewer ms150b. This is supposed to be twice as powerful and 60Xs on paper. Reality is quite different. On battery Amaran is more that 2 stops brighter. When plugged into the wall, ms150b is only 0.3 stops brighter. Amaran 60Xs is also cheaper right now. Battery holder is very cheap - batteries do not lock in securely and can fall out. Push button power vs rocker switch. Rocker switch is a lot more convenient. Overall I would not recommend this product. P.S. Seller reached out to me and offered a full refund. I returned it to Amazon instead, because Amaran 60d s is just a better product and comes in a smaller form factor. For free, or close to $100 this would have been an excellent deal. ... show more
