Yea, the battery lasts only 20 minutes. But who wants to till the in-between rows more than that? This little bugger gets it done. Keeps the soil aerated nicely. I wouldn't use it for raised beds or as my main tiller. It is good at keeping the garden rows tidy. I ordered the larger battery in case my grandchildren feel ambitious when they visit. I really like this product. If you have a small garden in your backyard or wherever this would work perfect for you. I do recommend that the ground already be broken though. If you have really really hard soil, I don’t know if it will help to break ground. If you have really soft sandy soil already, then possibly. But it works really well if the ground has already been broken and you just need to tell it again for whatever reason. The only drawback, and it is sort of a big drawback is that the battery does not last very long. The manual tells you that it does not fully charge the first time you use it, but I have used it so far a total of 12 times. And generally it dies before I reach the five minute mark. The more work you put on the product the faster it dies I do believe. But even just in medium dense soil for Maybe 1000 square-foot garden you will have to stop and start because it will die maybe 3 to 5 times. At least this has been my experience. So I do think it works well. It keeps me from going to Home Depot to rent a tiller and it’s small enough that a woman can handle it. And it does do a good job once it gets in the dirt. But the battery is will surely die soit will take you longer than you expect to tell your space if it is of a decent size. ... show more
