    • Excellent quality, but better if you have bigger feet
If you're shopping for something like this, you'll know there are many variations out there. I bought a different one, also with an metal base, but had to return it because the back strap was fixed. Although the other unit was also of great quality, with my small feet of US 7.5, it was hurting my feet. The back straps on this one allows me to tighten my feet and make it more centralized hence it didn't hurt and was easier to move around with. Exact same high quality metal, just a bit big for my feet thus the front straps go all the way and there's just a small region that holds it in place. I'm just concerned it may not last very long, but so far is holding up pretty well. ... show more

    • Looks well built but spikes bent
These appear to be very well built with heavy thick metal, riveted straps, and velcro straps. But after one use around the yard the spikes in the rear bent. Also, my lawn was a little moist from watering the day before thus mud and debris built up on bottom quickly and thus spike depth was limited to about an inch. Maybe better when lawn is dried out. Ensure leaves raked up or they will build up on bottom limited depth. The rear spikes bent, the product needs more spikes in the rear, since we naturally want to walk heel to toe—best to stomp by going up and down to avoid bending spike. Used with a size 11 shoe and guess you could easily get a larger size in there. Straps snuggly fit around the shoe and hold it well. I used to do about a 3500 square feet of lawn with some steep slopes and took about an 2 hours to walk the yard taking small steps going up and down rows. Be careful not to step on tree roots or sprinkler heads. If you don’t have the time to walk the yard or to stop to clean out the bottom build up, you would be better off renting or hiring someone with a commercial aerator which will do faster and make bigger holes but be warned your lawn will have lots of cores and look like turds all over your lawn. Also flag the sprinkler heads, valve box covers and tree roots before they start. After which best to use a mulching lawn mower on low setting and walk slowly to break up the cores. ... show more

Supposed to have all steel buckles but one broke first time I used them. Did the job but now I have to keep extra buckles on hand when next one breaks

    • Hard ground is tough to walk on so watch your ankles.
The product works if you can get it to go into the ground and Im pretty heavy at 230. when the ground is moist seems to work well, but be careful with sod. I resodded last year and when I walked on my yard a couple of places came with me. Good Luck
