  • Beautiful Skates, for me they were true to size.
Size: 9
I ordered a size 9 and I am typically a size 8.5-10 womens with most 9s fitting. I noticed Amazon had this listed as a frequently returned item. I did lots of research on moxi and on skating before I purchased. Skates typically run a size big so you order a size smaller however, I have very wide thick feet so I ordered a 9 for a 9 foot and they fit perfect. Another thing I noticed mentioned when researching these shoes is some people who try them on do not realize there is tissue paper shoved super far down in the bottom of the brand new skate and try it on and can’t get their foot in. This is also important. The ankle support on these is phenomenal, better than any indoor rental skate I’ve ever seen. The wheels are very slick on my hardwood floors it is raining today so I can’t try these out yet and all my skate gear is not here yet. It did come with a skate tool for adjusting however not every box of moxi skates comes with a skate tool and it’s recommended you have one to adjust your wheels and trunks. I also saw some reports that skates from riedell arrived scuffed or used this was absolutely not the case of me ordering these. They smell BRAND NEW look brand new, and had all the packaging provided to unwrap. Can’t wait to take these outside and to the skate rink as I start to learn skating ... show more

  • Very Good Buy for a beginner
Size: 8
Just getting back to skating after years. These skates are comfortable providing good cushion around the ankle and tongue of the skate. Skate is a real good quality. I typically wear 8.5/9 & bought an 8 & they fit perfectly.

  • Best Value for the Money
Size: 6
I'm 50, my mom put me on skates when I was around 3 or 4 years old. I also used to both do art & speed skating. My main skates are Riedell 495's w/Labeda Proline plates, & Radar Sonar wheels (~$1000 set-up). Having said all that, I'm EXTREMELY impressed with quality of this skate (mainly the boot) for the price. I dare you to find a leather boot with a rolled cuff and notched ankle for this price, let alone an entire set-up. This boot has so much support unlike the Lolly (bought a pair and immediately sent them back). Also, looking through the Riedell website, their leather boots start around $300. I bought these skates for the boot and am swapping out the plate, wheels, and bearings; but they are fine as-is, especially for a beginner skater. tl;dr: I can't believe I got a black suede leather boot for $169. Crazy value. ... show more

  • Truth in Advertising
Size: 9
These skates showed up exactly as described (and a little earlier than expected 😄👍). I wear a US women's size 10, so I ordered a 9. The fit is a little bit tight, but they will break in. Super cushy inside, beautiful design, love the suede, adjustable toe stop... Moxi really did a great job with the design of this skate. Worth every penny! They give you all the info you need within their ad to assure the right fit. I appreciate that a lot. ... show more

  • Good value, overall good skate
Size: 7
I think this skate is a fantastic value, its well made and sturdy. The suede is nice, though the black color does rub off on the laces and your socks. The tongue is very thick and made of some kind of rubber I don't care for the tongue of the boot, it is too thick, it’s difficult to break in, and it makes my ankles sweat! These are NOT for wide feet. I dont have thin feet, but they're not wide either and they were pretty tight across the widest part of my foot. I laced them for “wide feet” and that made a huge difference, but if you have actual wide feet I doubt you'd be able to wear these at all. I have worn them one-two times a week now for a couple of months and they're just now starting to break in a little. I will update when I feel I’ve finally broken them in. The wheels are outdoor wheels and I mostly skate in a rink, so I switched them out for some harder wheels which wasn't very difficult. The cushions are very hard which is nice if you are a plus size skater like myself, but if you're a lighter weight skater you'll want to switch to softer cushions. I do believe I will switch mine out with softer cushions as well as switching out the bearings. ... show more

  • Moxi Skates Finally within Budget
Size: 7
Back in 2020 I've been dreaming of getting myself a pair of moxi skates and when I saw they were $400+ I couldn't bring myself to get them. Then I saw them on Amazon now, for only $169, and had to jump on them! Go get yourself a pair! They are beautiful and just a solid quality pair of skates. They arrived brand new in beautiful packaging, was a little stiff but will be broken in as you use them. They come with 78a wheels so you can skate outside immediately. I'm very pleased with my purchase. ... show more

  • Wide feet
Size: 7
If you have wide feet and have feet issues (ie bunions etc) i would not recommend these. If u size up to compensate there will be lots of extra space and ur foot wont be secure. If u order ur correct size. The toe box is narrow, and may be painful until break in. The plate is nice however extremely heavy compared to nylon plates. The cushions are very hard which I prefer. If you are skinny you may want to change them. The boot is beautiful. If you have narrow to regular feet i would definately recommend. Update: i have skated about a week in these. The toe box has loosened up so it is not as painful. The tongue has this rubber material thats rubbed my skin raw. The boot feels phenominal while park skating. Very stable. The plate is love hate. Its sturdy and secure but is so heavy if you plan on jumping in them. Also the kingpins are low and sometimes rub the ground at the park. im hoping getting a slide block will help with that. I changed the cushions to give me more fluidity cruising but the stock cushions were fine. Final thoughts. These are great for people with normal width feet. If you have wide feet and can afford it get the jack boot. They offer more sizes. Update: i have been skating these a little over a month. 30 to 40 hours. The tongue is not noticiable. The toe box has widen. Still occassionally painful but usually after hours of skating. ... show more
