The media could not be loaded. Rtoyzon Mini Table Saw There is a tendency for people to assume small tools, like this miniature table saw, are toys. This is not true! The Rtoyzon is a high quality table saw just like its bigger cousins. All the things that make for good, safe cuts with a full-sized saw apply to this miniature saw. While a saw of this size is not going to rip your hand off, it is perfectly capable of doing real damage to a finger! If you are not familiar with bandsaws, you should check out one or two of the many videos on the subject on the web. When you unpack the saw, you will notice how clean and well made it looks. It includes all the parts you would expect, and they are well made. The table is very clean with a smooth surface and clear engraving. Always a little paranoid, I checked that the blade is at a right angle to the table and that the slot for the miter gauge is parallel to the blade. Both are important if you want to make good cuts. The fence, used for rip cuts, has nothing to keep it parallel with the blade so you will have to carefully check that it is parallel each time you move it. The saw uses 63mm blades which allow for cutting material up to about 15mm thick through I wouldn’t expect good results trying to cut 15mm (about ½ inch) hardwood. It comes with four blades that allow cutting most thin material and many others are available. The speed is adjustable, and the blade height is set from the top of the saw table. The instructions for changing the blade are wrong. They say to use a use a small hex key on the back side of the blade shaft to immobilize the blade, but this won’t work. Instead, there is a small, unmarked, hole on the table that you can insert a hex key into to immobilize the blade. Changing blades is easy and only takes a couple of minutes. Overall, this is a well-made tool and very suitable for cutting thin material. As long as you don’t try to exceed its capacity by cutting things that are too thick, I think you will be very happy with it. ... show more
