The media could not be loaded. These strap on lawn aerators for shoes are incredible! They are easy to set up and use, and they work so well! They also give you a bit of a workout if used over large areas, which is a plus. They feel similar to wearing ankle weights in my opinion. They themselves are not heavy, but there is a little resistance when lifting your foot off the ground due to the spikes pulling out of the ground. This also may vary slightly depending on the ground conditions. The wetter the ground, the more resistance there is. In some cases, some mud may collect in between the spikes on the bottom. If this happens it’s easy to pull out by hand, just be careful to avoid the spikes. They are pretty comfortable to wear and fit over most types of shoes. I do recommend wearing shoes that cover your ankle and/or tall socks while using these to avoid any potential sores from the straps. The straps do shift and rub a little when stepping and lifting your foot off of the ground. I ordered these mainly to aerate low areas of our yard to help water absorb into the ground. I have actually used these over our entire back yard while picking up dog poop to help aerate it. I think these aerators are a terrific value! They were $15.99 at the time that I ordered them, and they are very sturdy and nice quality. In general, I am very impressed and would absolutely recommend them! ... show more

These aerator shoes work as described. They are pretty easy for me to put on and take off. I like that they come already assembled. They are pretty sturdy and the spikes easily sink in the soil in my yard. I wear a size 9 in women’s and the size I received is just right for my feet. The only thing that I don’t like is that the Velcro portion in the middle isn’t quite as long as it should be and clings close on the tip of the band. Nice quality. Plastics feel solid and each spike is installed with its own nut securely. I put them on in the grass so I didn’t have to walk on a hard surface with them. Used shortly after a rain and it was very easy to do before seeding.

These shoes work pretty good. I didn't give them 5 stars because the plastic bottom part feels flimsy...they didn't break, I just feel like they will break eventually. They are easy to put on and easy to use. For a large yard this might not be good but my medium size yard is perfect for these.
