When I got it, it wouldn’t even turn on, and after troubleshooting the issue, I found the charging block to be broken. Bought a new block, and it won’t even hold a charge. Needs to remain plugged in for it to work at “1%” charge. The Software describes the battery is damaged and needs repairs. I’m returning the laptop, for it being internally defective, and not at all worth the hassle to try and fix out the gate. For it to already have battery issues upon receiving the device is excessive, and unprofessional for it to be sold as such. This is a very nice Macbook, the screen is good, there is only one little ding on the body, and the keyboard is in good condition. But there are some things I need to point out. First off, the OS was very old and I couldn't install anything, but I was able to update it to Ventura. Also, the battery life is dismal, already shows that it needs servicing under Battery Health under Settings. I'm lucky to go a few hours on battery before it needs charging. Which means I need to either have a new battery professionally installed, or buy one myself with the install kit. All of which will end up costing more money than I expected to shell out. Even though the laptop was listed as renewed and certified it arrived with a practically dead battery. The screen kept glitching and the computer irresponsive at times. I wrote the seller twice and tried calling several times. Even left a call-back message. No reply, no call-back.s Bottom line: useless device, no one to speak with. It is a great laptop overall, but knocks me offline quite a bit. My older Mac from 2012 didn't even do this. It's not my online router, either. 2 other people in my house have no problem with their connection.
