I've had them over a year and they are even better than when I bought them. They shipped with a cardboard insert, which it took me about a week to discover. They were already comfortable, but taking the cardboard out really enhanced the experience. :~) (I say that for the benefit of the reviewers who found them a tight fit - the inserts weren't obvious) They are just a little stiff when you get them, and will break-in some, but I find them to be grippier than most slippers I've owned. I love these Gecko Man by Walk Hero shoes. I was looking for house shoes that came in a size 10.5 (USA). So many popular brands do not have half sizes. Which for me always means too big or too small. I stumbled upon these on Amazon. I was skeptical at first, but, Man, what a pleasant surprise!! They fit perfectly and they stay on, even with the open back. I have plantar faciitis. These spouse provide fantastic support and comfort. I opted for the suede insoles (they offer fleece, as well). I like these so well that I bought a closed-back pair for everyday walk-around shoes. The fit is dead on. Especially with socks. But pretty good without them too. The comfort is excellent. The support is on target. Granted this isn’t going to be the case for everyone but it is for me. The durability seems to be good so far; no rips tears or loose threads. The glue seems to be holding. I do wear them outside occasionally but not long term. Our new puppy got one one day, they were pretty wet with slobber and definitely were chewed on but they are still functional and look brand new except for one small tooth mark in the heel. If they don’t fall apart after a year or two I’d buy them again. ... show more

After several episodes of having my cheap shower sandals catch a surface and bend, almost sending me to the ground, I decided I would no longer wear things that seemed so intent on killing me. So I ordered these slippers because 1. I liked the closed toe which protected my foot in late night shuffles to the bathroom, 2. the idea of an arched footbed for support might be better than the flatbed and 3. they looked comfortable. So as I wear them while writing this, I am more than pleased. They came quickly, fit as well if not better than expected (after a very brief break in period due to the small box that squashed down the well built upper) and they are comfortable as all get out. They are more secure on wet tile floors, far more than the shower shoes (which isn't a good feature for shoes to be worn... in a public shower) and while I can't wear these in a shower, i can wear them to take out the garbage or go to the car for groceries, although I think I'll keep these as pristine house shoes and limit wearing them outside. ... show more

These look like cool boat deck shoes yet the back is open so you can slip them on and off easily. They do have great arch supports which I really need. They are for really wide feet though and my feet are kinda narrow so they slip around inside. If your feet are a little wider you'll probably have a perfect fit. ... show more

The shoes fit as expected. I was looking for a shoe I could wear around the house with good arch support, durable and comfortable. Not the most stylish but really comfortable even for long periods of time. I am flat-footed but this shoe gives me the right kind of support I need.

I bought these shoes in October 2021. I needed some easy on/off house shoes, but also thought these would be great to wear out and about. I absolutely adore these shoes! They are some of the most comfortable I've ever worn! In fact, I pretty much live in them. With all that wear, they have held up very well, including the insole. However, after a while they were pretty filthy, so I returned to the questions and answers to see if I could wash them. Most of the answers said emphatically, absolutely don't. Well, the stitching looked good and they were so dirty, I decided to give it a try. Worst case scenario, lesson learned and $40 for a new pair of shoes. I threw some clothes in the washer, threw in the shoes without insoles, and threw in some more clothes on top. Set it on a regular cycle and crossed my fingers. They came out beautifully! No shrinking or stretching, and stitching intact. They may have faded a tiny bit, but that's it. They are so clean that my mother thought I'd bought a new pair of shoes. Btw, I'm a woman with a high instep, and these men's shoes fit great! ... show more
