  • These aren't stickers
Style: Habitats
I don't know how these can be called stickers, they are vinyl clings. Its a great concept, but not stickers. Pros: easy clean up since they dont stick to fabric or floors only glossy surfaces like the provided scenes or a glass window; they are reusable; the vinyl material can survive toddlers who stick these in their mouths or try to tear them; easy to pick up once detached from sticker sheet; waterproof; good sizes; lots of stickers. Cons: not adhesive; cant stick them to regular paper or hands; have to press down to make them stay; plastic smell; need adult assistance taking them off initial sticker sheet. Overall these are great amd my 1 year old likes it, but not what I expected. I thought these were repositional stickers with the jelly adhesive on the back, but I guess words matter and that was my mistake assuming repositional and reusable stickers were the same thing. If you are on the fence getting these, just get your kid the vinyl window clings for $1, they are the same thing. ... show more

  • Static cling "stickers" that are reusable and won't mess up your furniture
Style: Vehicles
These stickers don't have sticky residue on them and cling using static, so if your kids "stick" them on your windows or furniture, you won't have to scrape them off. The book isn't the sturdiest, though, and the pages with the stickers were already detaching within a few turns from an adult. Not a deal-breaker since the stickers can be "stored" on the pads, but the pad pages may detach next... ... show more

  • These work as window clings !
Style: Under The Sea
I love Melissa and Doug products. My son adores this set because they work amazing as window clings so he can make ocean scenes on our patio door! They don’t adhere too well to the scenes provided but on the windows amazing !

  • Good but parent needed around for young toddlers
Style: Habitats
Generally great quality. I was hoping this would be a way for my tot (2.5 yo) to play on her own while I do chores but it's very hard for younger ones to peel the sticker so a parent needs to sit with them. One design flaw is that the sticker pages and habitat pages are apart, not back to back. Makes you have to keep flipping pages each time which is so annoying! ... show more

  • Great for 3 year old
Style: Vehicles
I use these as a nanny for all ages. Everyone likes stickers but are sad when you cannot take them off and apply somewhere else. Not these, stick again and again!

  • Stickers Leave Residue
Style: Vehicles
Cons: 1) if the stickers are left on the scenery image for a long time, they will leave an imprint on the scene (see picture) - so don’t leave the stickers on the scene when you’re done playing with it 2) the stickers do not adhere to the backs of the scenery pages. If they did, it would be great to stick the excess stickers on them so you can see what stickers you have available to you to use for that scene as opposed to flipping back and forth between pages of the book. 3) the book falls apart - especially as you continue flip between pages to pull off stickers and stick elsewhere. 4) it’s hard to use this in the car on road trips (at least for my almost 3yo) because it is so big and you have to flip back and forth between pages. It’s better suited to a plane ride since its about the size of a tray table. That said, its still super bulky and hard to flip between pages. The best setup is on the floor or at a table at your air b&b, hotel, or home. Pros: 1) very entertaining for a child who is into vehicles and stickers 2) great for fine motor skills 3) great in that it can be reused over and over again Tips: 1) pull off the sticker border so that your child can place the stickers back on the page without having to find the exact spot the sticker originated in 2) bring a ziplock baggie to store the stickers in, in case the original sticker sheet falls out of your book. ... show more

  • Not bad!
Style: Vehicles
I love the idea of this and I would still recommend to anyone! The only annoying part was the pages with the stickers fell apart easily so it’s become kind of a mess to hold it all together but still very fun & loved by my 2 year old!

  • The Life Cycle of this Sticker Pad with a Baby
Style: Habitats
I purchased this pad for my 15 month old at the end of August. It's now the end of October, so we've had it for about 2 months total, and it's kind of nearing the end of its life span. Yes, it's recommended for ages 3 and up, but my baby discovered stickers around that time and I wanted to encourage her creativity and imaginative play. When we first got it, I was delighted. There are 5 scenes: farm, dinosaur, African savanna, jungle/rain forest, and ocean. The stickers are vinyl decals. Some commenters have complained about the stickability of the decals to the backgrounds, and I agree. M&D cheaped out on the gloss on the backgrounds, so the vinyl decals sometimes don't stick very well. The vinyl decals are perfect, it's the backgrounds that are poor. This can be remedied by wetting the backs of the stickers a little, or wiping down the backgrounds. Or, you can use the M&D stickers with My First Early-Learning Sticker Books (My Little World) . This set has poor quality paper stickers that really aren't reusable, but the books are FANTASTIC with beautiful high gloss pages that cry out for these vinyl decals to stick to them. They're also FAR more portable than the M&D backgrounds, perfect for popping in the diaper bag along with some of the M&D decals. Stage 1 We received the pad, and the stickers are all in the front followed by the backgrounds. This necessitates removing the sticker sheets from the pad. I only let my daughter play with one sticker sheet at a time and some of the stickers are very small (ducks and chicks at the farm, striped fish in the ocean), so those were removed. If you're using this pad with a small child, I recommend starting with the dinosaur decals, which are the largest, followed by the savanna and then rain forest. My daughter had a great time removing the stickers from the sheets and placing them on the backgrounds. Stage 2 I tried to keep the surrounding outline vinyl on the sticker sheets, so I would know where to replace the stickers in between play times. This failed, as my daughter eventually ripped the background vinyl off. So those outline vinyl sheets were thrown away. However, then I could never get all the stickers back on to the sticker sheets because they had been placed 'just so' as to maximize space. So now I as many stickers as I can fit on the sheets and the rest (10+ total) on the backgrounds. Stage 3 Eventually, after a few weeks of play, the backgrounds got ripped out of the pad as well (at this point they were only loosely in there anyway). So now the 'pad' becomes more like a portfolio folder, for holding the sheets with the stickers and the backgrounds with the remainder stickers. Stage 4 My daughter discovered that the backgrounds stink, and aren't very sticky. She goes in search of more sticky surfaces to place the stickers. Walls with high gloss paint, the glass shower doors, the bathroom cabinets, the hall doors with high gloss paint. Yippee! So now I have stickers everywhere. This actually isn't SO bad. It's a nice activity to occupy her in the bathroom while I take a shower. Stage 5 In moving the decals all over, to the various surfaces around the house that are glossy, the paper backgrounds have completely fallen into disuse. The stickers are scattered all over the house in various places. Now when I find one in a random place I pick it up and deposit it in a 'sticker pile' we have on a shelf in the bedroom. Eventually they will all be placed back on the sticker sheets or backgrounds in the 'folder'. Unfortunately, the paper backgrounds are dead. Nothing sticks to them. They're just tucked in the pad/folder, along with some of the sticker sheets with some stickers here and there. In the beginning I was keeping the different themed stickers separate, but now they're all mixed up across the sheets. Daughter still loves this toy (it's only been 2 months), but the pad itself is decimated. Will likely buy a new set of them around Christmas, or maybe wait until spring when she turns 2. Overall, this is a very fun toy. If using with a child under the recommended age range, obviously play must be supervised to prevent potential ingestion of any stickers. Even at 1.5 it's a wonderful learning tool for teaching animal names and sounds and encouraging creative play. However, like most M&D products, it's scores very high in the idea department (the concept) but low in the construction department (all M&D products are now made in China, with apparently high safety standards, but low quality control). This sticker pad just isn't made to last, nor are the backgrounds even made to have the decals stick. Come on M&D, would a few cents more for a bit more gloss on the pages really have been so terrible?! Ugh. Anyway, this sticker pad costs less than a Starbucks coffee and lasts exponentially longer, so I can't complain too much. ... show more
