I have a plethora of Medela bottles, and these are a nice improvement. If you haven't used genuine Medela bottles, they are far superior to the knock offs. The bottles are clearly marked, very sturdy, and never leak. My only gripe with the previous bottles was that the lids did not nest. Medela fixed that with this new version. The new lids still give a very secure seal, but now they also nest within each other. This is great when washing 20 of them at a time, and it makes storage easier. If you are getting ready for pumping, I recommend getting three packs of these, and you will be thankful that you did. ... show more

Let me tell you my journey through baby bottles. Baby bottles. Easy enough, right? You just pick one, dump your milk into it, and feed your baby. What's the big deal! Wrong. My baby was born early. We supplemented formula for a few days in the hospital while my milk came in to help her gain weight. She used the ready to feed bottles with Similac nipples like a champ. What a big, good eater our tiny baby was! Fast forward to home. Avent Natural Bottles. The nipple was too big and she cried. Her tiny mouth didn't fit. We went back to 2 ounce milk collection bottles with Similac nipples from the hospital and she was happy again. We tried Dr Brown nipples at first because they were recommended so highly online. I HATE those nipples and my baby again developed horrible gas and reflux when using them. I threw them away and went back to our bag of free Similac nipples and she was happy. Her appetite increased and I tried the Avent bottles again. She tried so hard. They gave her bad gas and she cried and cried despite gas drops. I changed to Playtex Ventaire and did the extra work of washing them at night (it's a lot of washing and drying with those bottle pieces) but she seemed to do okay and I could give her one bottle instead of 2-3. Her gas was reduced and we used them exclusively for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks she was struggling to finish her bottles, taking 40 minutes to eat 4 ounces, and falling asleep. I went to the next nipple size up and it was too fast and choked her. I went back to the slowest flow and she started falling asleep again and Id dump out half of her hard earned Breast milk. On outings, I would toss the milk collection containers and Similac nipples in her cooler bag and run out. She could finish her milk so easily from them that I didn't mind giving her multiple bottles. Finally I discovered that her Similac nipples fit on the Medela collection containers. We ordered the 2.7 ouncers and added them to our 4 remaining 2 ouncers from the hospital. Then I saw these and realized the nipples still fit. She now drinks 5-6 ounces out of these bottles easily. I am convinced the container doesn't matter as much as the nipple, but as a preemie and newborn the Similac nipples worked and why not now? If I had it tI do over I would order Medela bottles because they fit the Similac nipples and that's all I would use to feed her. Instead I have bookoos of expensive bottles she doesn't like or that give her gas and make her cry. She seems completely content and able to control the flow and that is my killer combination - Medela bottles and Similac nipples. So easy. Easy to wash. Happy baby. Worth reviewing. ... show more

Super easy to use. I bought these because I didn’t want to wash bottles every day so these are my extras. Now I can pump and not have to worry about running out of bottles. I read the reviews that people think these are fake or not real medelas, but I have NEVER noticed anything wrong with them. I’ve had them for several months now and I love them. Super easy to clean and small so they don’t take up too much space. I pump into these with my Medela pump and refrigerate them. I’ve never had an issue with leaking. Highly recommend :) ... show more

I have serious concerns regarding the authenticity of the bottles I received. After sterilizing it I noticed the bottles were really thin, thin enough that I could squeeze the bottle easily with my fingers. This does not occur with my other medela bottles. The bottom of the bottle has different prints to the other medela bottles I own too. It is missing some of the labels (such as the maximum temperature it can handle). The color of the bottle is also different to the ones I own, when you look at the ink against the light, it is extremely obvious that the yellow shade differs greatly from the originals. The size of the bottle also seems a bit different but I have yet to measure it so I am unsure about the last point. I am using these bottles for my newborn so it is of extreme concern to me, will have to follow up with amazon about this. EDIT: I contacted amazon immediately after I left the review but they did not give me a definite answer regarding authenticity of the item. I would suggest that potential buyers get the 3 piece set (that comes with the teats) instead of this. The money saved is simply not worth the hassle/risk! After posting my review I also read all the low ratings for this product and found that so many others have had the same concerns as me. If you google 'fake medela bottles' there is also a webpage detailing almost the exact issues I have with mine. ... show more

These are invaluable for anyone that is using a medela pump. I was using smaller collection bottles when pumping for my twins and realized that I would increase my supply if I kept pumping longer into larger bottles. It is very convenient having extras around if you haven't had time to do the dishes yet. My review philosophy: As a longtime customer of Amazon, I depend on others' honest reviews. I do my best to provide that same courtesy to others. I purchase lots of items through Amazon, some I get for free, some I get at a discounted rate, and some I pay full price. I will always disclose if I receive an item for free or a discounted rate. I do a lot of reviews so here is a break down on how I determine my star rating of a product: 5 stars – I love it! It is awesome and I highly recommend everyone to purchase this product! 4 stars – I like it, but there are some flaws. Don't we all have flaws? I would purchase again. 3 stars - It was okay, but I would probably not buy it again unless there are no other options. 2 stars – There may be worse products out there, but you can definitely find better choices. 1 star – I dislike the product, I wish I had not purchased it and recommend others to not purchase. ... show more
