I needed to tighten the shut off valves under my bathroom sink. All the wrenches I had at home didn’t do anything. This literally turned them on the first try and I didn’t even have to use anything on the fixtures to loosen them (like soaking in vinegar or using WD-40). This is worth the money as it’s not too heavy and it was very easy to use.     • Decent wrench, poor finish work.

It's a decent wrench, and really cheap, but I couldn't even turn the adjustment screw the adjustment the wrench. There were a bunch of burrs on the threads, and the metal and casting work was rough and unfinished. Even 10min in a sand tumbler would have made a big difference.

It's a pipe wrench. so it's not light weight. This wrench was purchased because someone misplaced the old one in the tool box after working on something and after this wrench arrived the other wrench magically appeared! This is now our heavy second spare backup pipe wrench for those jobs like tightening pipes under the sink and it works fine.     • Good for pipes, not bolts
The description is for a self-adjusting pipe wrench and for that it is suitable. Some of these others also tout ability to quickly use on bolts/nuts and this item has a picture for this. But due to how the jaws for this tool are constructed where they are not a consistent width (it narrows in the center) it can be difficult to get a proper seating against a flush fitting nut. So really not effective for this usage. If that is your intent, move on to another item. Also this has the ability to adjust the handle position. It has a pivot to adjust. This seems like a good idea, but it also is loose ( has play side to side ). This doesn't feel comfortable, but when you put pressure on the handle it is fine. So really just an annoyance, but was unexpected. Believe I will keep this in the tool box for pipes but will search for another item for nuts/bolts. Live and learn. ... show more
