Kalahari is an update to the classic leopard print. This modern interpretation was first hand drawn, using a naturalist's photo as inspiration. Hand-tufted in India, the rug is made of premium wool with viscose highlights. The foyer area of my condominium is the perfect fit for a 4 X 6 rug and I have a preference for the wool Safavieh/Martha Stewart collections which are always good quality. The photos presented by Amazon made this rug appear to be soft shades of beige and taupe, however, I was confused as to why the maker called this Sharkey Gray. I ordered it hoping that I would get a rug that looked like the photos. I was not disappointed! The overall pattern is a leopard print in pale shades of beige or “sand” and a darker hue which is closer to a light camel-color. I've had my eye on this rug for several months. Concern was the color of green. The color is not the same as my walls but the color on the rug is very subtle and blends very well. Very soft and well made. Very happy I made the purchase.

I like the look but as wool rugs go this one has a very short pile. Any little thing snags and tugs threads loose. Wool rugs shed a ton but that’s ok. This is not a rug for a house with pets. Yes f you use in a home office put a plastic guard on first before your chair. Quality? If I rated 1 for poor and 5 for excellent I would say 2.5. Most Martha Stewart products are made in the cheap side. This is a nice basic rug BUT the price should be $300 for a 9x13. Not $600. ... show more

I bought 9 x12 and 1st one located a slit in it before I even had a chance to lay it out. 2nd one lied out and after over a week it started to look worn out before we could walk good on it! How is that possible? This was when I thought I could vaccum the "balls of cotton" looks like a pile of cat hair or dust and made it worse, not sure and not good! Come on Martha, you can do better!
