I got this manual breast pump for when I'm traveling, just catching a letdown or just need something simple and don't want to mess with everything involved with electric pumps. This pump is great and easy to use . I also love that it's low maintenance and easy to clean. The material is a silicone that is soft yet sturdy. It's even softer than my Medela. I also like that is food grade and bpa free. I checked the measurements on this pump and am glad to find it's also accurate. This pump also has a lid on it to protect your milk from dust or spilling. It also has an additional milk saving feature, which is the valve. This valve ensures milk only goes in and does not come out. I find this very valuable because there are times I'm pumping and just don't have time to put on the lid to prevent spills. Also when your pumping and it accidentally gets bumped by you or your baby. This is a hard one... it is under ten bucks and should be rated as such. This is an economical option and one you won't mourn too long if you lose it. It has a one way valve design which is good because you won't get as much backflow but it will make it harder to clean. The pump is also the storage area so you will be limited on capacity. The backflow does leak a bit back into the chamber but there is a lid that keeps it contained well. This would be a good toss and go and depending on your flow a great receptacle for overflow. Again, considering the low price it seems this would come in handy. It is like my toothbrush - I have a really expensive one at home but after I left it at a hotel I bought a less expensive travel one.. This is great for all the same reasons. ... show more

I am reviewing this based on my usage of name brand and off brand milk collection devices. One big pro to to this product is the base that you can set it on. This can help with the spillage that can occur due to the shape. I also like that it includes a silicone cap so you can cap it and not worry about creating a mess if knocking it over in the middle of the night. Love the silicone material it's made of. The middle nozzle is removable to make for easy cleaning. I got it to collect the let down while feeding on the opposite side. Love the product, the quality and the concept. Not exactly sure how to consistently pump. It’s hit or miss in my opinion since I don’t exactly know how it pumps milk out when it’s already on. Can use it to pump or collect extra milk when feeding or pumping. Large enough to store 4 oz of liquid but if you’re manually pumping it becomes tricky when above 2 or 3 oz. Again, only took off one star since I'm not completely sure how to use this product to manually pump. The directions are simple but it’s a slow process. Took about over an hour maybe more to get only 3 oz when I could have used a breast pump for only 30 min. Like this as an option since it’s quiet and I don’t have to clean so much equipment like with automatic pumps. Definitely useful and good to have for new moms. ... show more

This contraption is amazing, it’s better than the Hakkah, for me I could never get anything out with the Hakkah but I get a lot out with this! I will say the oz are off a bit but other than that it’s definitely worth the purchase!

I find that the manual breast pumps with a trigger are far more effective at collecting milk. With this one, you have to wait for the suction to stop in order to squeeze for another pump. The flange doesn't sit right over my nipples either so I'm constantly having to adjust it. When I first saw this style of milk collector being introduced, how ever many years ago that was, I thought they were primarily used to just collect any left over milk after feeding baby. They also stayed in place without assistance. This one is not at all like those. I'm not planning on continuing to use it. ... show more
