Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel Control is Loctite’s most durable formula and forms resilient bonds that set quickly and fully cure in 12 to 24 hours. I remembered the name Loctite was a glue brand my father used to use for heavy duty projects. So I thought I'd see if they had a brand of super glue, because so many other brands let me down so often. Loctite Super Glue amazed me. It is the first super glue bottle that has yet to clog on me and is easy to dispense. And I've already used it to fix an array of items. It's allowed me to fix: an action figure, a PVS Anime statue, a Christmas ornament and the section on the cardboard box one of my handheld game systems came in. It's amazing how fast it bonds and how solid a hold it has. The Loctite glue bonds things together like they never had broken in the first place. Fixing the Christmas ornament was tricky, I had to put a thin layer of glue on both ends where the factory adhesive had failed, but to my amazement the Loctite glue bonded to itself and now the ornament is like new. I am very impressed with this glue and can't recommend it enough!! But, I will offer one note of caution. Make sure you line up what you are using this super glue on. Once it bonds, it literally locks tight. I did get a tiny bit of glue on my finger, but with some Dawn and a then a warm shower later, the two helped to get the glue off my finger. I was trying to put up a wooden "flower" to hold my potholders, and it dropped from my hand and broke one of the leaves off that holds some of my potholders. The thing was given to me by a friend and I just wasn't going to throw it away. I ordered this and used it. At first it didn't want to stick. So I let it dry and put some more on it and it worked. I broke my sun glasses around the lens frame area. Glue appears to be holding the frames together in what is considered a high stress area. The dispenser is really cool. Read the instructions first --> You have to twist the cap to puncture the seal to get the glue out. So read the instructions carefully before using. The bottle also came with pumping handles on each side of the bottle to dispense the glue which made it very easy to dispense. Very cleaver design. Happy with my purchase. Let's see if I can use the glue again just after just this one application to see if the glue does not harden up in the bottle. The glue is more of gel than liquid for applications that are prone to drips which made applying it on my frames easier avoiding drips. The drying time took a little longer than expected. It did not instantly bond in 15 to 30 seconds, more like 10 minutes. I also waited about 12 hours before wearing my glasses to let it cure. Would have gotten 5 stars for an instant bond, but I am not in a hurry to be satisfied for not having to buy new sunglasses. Satisfied for now, let's see how my frames hold up when I physicality use them and put them and store them in my pants pocket for more of a stress test. ... show more

    • Excellent super glue for specialty repairs and general purpose applications.

I ordered this particular super glue because the only shoes I had on a outdoor contract blew their stitches 2 days and 10 miles before the contract was set to end. Fortunately I did have cell reception. So I ordered replacement boots and this bottle of super glue to hold me over until the new boots arrived. My hasty googling in the field identified this particular variety as the best all-around choice for general purpose and shoe glue. I'm happy to report that that hasty research was correct. This glue was amazing for making the necessary repairs to the blown stitching as well as some preemptive repairs to parts of the shoe. I use barefoot style shoes so flexibility is very important. The adhesive bond allows for flexibility, which is excellent for this type of application. Note that it doesn't flex to the same degree as the original stitching, this did take a little bit of adjustment but it's pretty close. The durable flexible bond is one of the features that sets this glue apart from other super glue options and makes it ideal for shoe, leather, and miscellaneous fabric applications. Since super glue is inherently handy, after repairing my shoes I used it for a bunch of other stuff and was even more impressed. I fixed my cell phone case, strengthened some adhesive Velcro I was using to hold a power strip and even repaired the strap on some muck style boots. I will definitely be ordering more you can always use super glue. I do have some recommendations. Make sure to wait at least 24 hours for the super glue to cure. The glue does set quickly, but don't let that fool you into putting load on the bond prematurely. Basically read the instructions I think a lot of negative reviews would have been positive if people actually read the label about how to get the strongest possible adhesion. I would also recommend you wear nitrile gloves, the applicator allows for a lot of control but I always end up getting some on my fingers so you might as well be prepared and have gloves. Don't use latex. Lastly make sure you're in a well ventilated area. Overall this is a great buy for a variety of repairs and miscellaneous needs. I will absolutely be buying more. ... show more

All fixed with Loctite! Major performance glue. Used to glue yarn cubicles and voila’, fixed! I had to glue a foot of a dresser so i used this glue there as well. Dresser is completely cured. I had to drag the dresser into its place and if it was going to fail, that move would have done it. It performed beautifully. No lines in the objects. It’s as if nothing ever broke.
