I bought this scope with the firedot. It is the clearest scope I have ever looked through. The firedot makes target aquisition quick and easy. Only 1 drawback - Once you get one, you will want them on your other rifles. I am already planning to buy another this summer.

Mounted this on my browning xbolt 30-06. Extremely clear glass. Very good eye relief. This is my first Leuplod, and definitely won’t be the last. I was die hard other brand but wanted to go with USA made and very glad I did. This scope has made me a Leupold buyer for life. Can’t recommend it enough.

The quality of the Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44mm riflescope is simply bar none the best scope of this caliber for the price! Lifetime Warranty!! Placed it on my Browning X-Bolt 300WSM. Performance at the range was the best I have ever experienced compared to my previously owned Vortex Viper and Nikon Pro Staff 5. Twilight Max and HD Glass allowed me to see the 100 yd targets clear as day in the dwindling evening light. The Firedot Duplex reticle was amazing with the variable illumination settings allowing me to get on target fast. It looks fantastic and truly performs as advertised! It arrived quickly and was brand new out of the box. For this setup I went with Medium 30mm Browning Rings and it fits perfectly with my sight height being 1.52". Low might have been hitting the barrel and the high rings would have required me to invest in a cheek pad for the stock. I am a truly HAPPY CUSTOMER!! ... show more

This VX5HD 3-16 w/Windplex reticle is all the power I need and only weighs 19oz. Once I develop the load I will put a custom dial on it. Then all I have to do is range, dial the range and the windplex reticle is sufficient to deal with the wind without having to dial.. The optics are bright and clear, and the reticle is easy to see when peering into dark timber areas. I did not buy an illuminated reticle and do not regret that decision at all. I can easily see before and after legal shooting light so no regrets there. The power is all I need, and now that I have removed the 2.5lb boat anchor scope and installed this Leupold my rifle is light and comfortable to hunt with. American made, lifetime warranty-what's not to like! ... show more
