Let's start with the good. It's a very simple product. It doesn't take a lot of thought to get it up and working. The weights are accurate and it's all very sturdy. Barbell mode is wonderful and simple and having a flat bottom makes for easy storage. Now for the bad. This wasn't manufactured very well fit several reasons. The threads for the barbells to enter into the dumbbell are not deep enough so in the light dumbbell mode you will have exposed threads. The threads are also not made very tight, even with the locking pin in place the weights will rotate. The foam cover doesn't move and it hasn't been placed in the middle so getting a perfect center on that alone is hard. Add in the uneven threads and you have to get a tape measurer to figure out where exactly you should be grabbing it. Overall though is a great product that I'm glad I bought. ... show more

Love that you can adjust the weights easily. They can be dumbells or barbells which expands the workout capabilities and range of muscles you can tone. Better that paying $100 for one select a weight barbell, which we avoided by buying this product.

So this set was a Christmas present for my grandson...He's in pretty good shape but thinks weight lifting will be beneficial. The design, combining barbells into sections which can be merged into a single bar offers flexibility. Maybe not a big deal for some but I don't want to mess around with those little peg things everytime I change out the weights so I am not confident in the sturdiness of these. Otherwise made well and not hard to put together.
