I wanted to buy a small tiller to work my 8' x 24' raised bed tomato garden. I live in Upstate NY and my soil - even topsoil and garden soil - has lots of clay and can be a real bear to work. I figured I'd roll the dice on this little guy. Boy, am I impressed. The unit was securely and sensibly packaged in a small, manageable box. Unboxing was trivial, and assembly (attaching wheels and "hub caps" and assembling the handle sections) took less than five minutes. The only tool I used was a pair of pliers to manipulate the cotter pins that secure the wheels to the axle. Ran a heavy-duty extension cord out to the garden, put on my gloves and goggles, plugged it in, and squeezed the trigger. The unit is MUCH quieter than the equivalent-size gas tiller and had tons of power... it tore right into my clay soil without slowing down. Moving back and forth, I did a nice 8-9" till of my 8' x 24' garden bed in about 20 minutes. Added some compost and used the tiller to mix it all in, then a metal rake to evenly distribute the soil. It took me less than an hour to completely prepare my garden for planting. My only regret is that I didn't buy something like this years ago! I'm a Tool Guy, and this machine is well constructed and has a nice powerful motor. I expect to get many years of use out of it. Enough power and fairly easy to manage. Can jump a bit when you hit old plant root or more solid areas. Cleaning was reasonable. Everything remained solid after ~8 hours of use. Watch out for that extension cord.

Works great! Glad I took the few minutes to check the gearbox fluid level before using it. They shipped it dry, the assembly instructions did not mention filling it up so I was a little surprised. Watched a couple video reviews of this and decided to give it a try. This thing went to work. I tilled grass covered ground and it chewed it up. Took a couple passes (I also mowed as low as I could right before) and then I had a great bed. It’s super lightweight, my 9 and 11 year old are able to operate it. One downside is the cord can come unplugged and the power trigger has to be manually held down, but just brace the trigger (super helpful when doing multiple passes) and loop the power cord and you’re good to go. We built a home in the fall of 2021. I purchased this product last year to using my garden bed as well as around the house to do some landscaping. We have so many rocks it is unbelievable. This machine it may be little but it is mighty! It is literally a little powerhouse and it has done a great job for us! It turns up the soil like nobody's business even though there's a ton of rocks.
