    • poot quality. vice component broke after 3 uses. the grub screw hex slot stripped .
tried to tighten the collar to the main draw screw which pulls the centering jaws close. just won’t tighten jus spin with any pressure to tighten. can’t use with any metal, i doubt it’d work with wood. used on lathe to try to cut windrift shaft in lathe tool. broke with both al and steel.

    • Impressive for the price
I mounted this milling attachment on a 9x20 mini lathe by screwing it to an aluminum adapter plate and mounting the plate on the cross slide, So far, it is performing very well. Everything about it is sturdy and beefy, and the fit and finish are good. The lead screw runs smoothly in a bronze nut, the ways are well machined but not ground, and it has a five point adjustable gib to set slide tension. The (metric) Y axis dial is well marked, very readable, and is accurate enough for the work that I do. The milling table is as flat as I need it to be and about the right size for model work. The insides of the tee slots are a little rough, but the channel and shoulders are well machined. The little vise that comes with the unit has surprisingly good accuracy. The jaws are well ground and mate well and there are horizontal and vertical vee grooves for holding round stock. You can get all the clamping force you need by finger tightening the knob without using the tommy bar. Overall, this is about a perfect unit for model engineers and for the home shop. ... show more

I liked everything about it besides the handle for the little vise and the handle for the slide. The nuts for the vise handle were clearly made by hand, fast, with a dull tool, and were not equal in size. I had to shave down a bit on one of the nuts to clear the rest of the slide. The slide handle is threaded and used as the nut. So it works well in one direction but loosens itself instead of turning the threaded rod in the other direction. overall I would recommend to purchase for a lathe 13inch and smaller. ... show more

    • You won't be happy
This is a very, big and expensive disappointment! The self centering vice was not even included in the packaging.The actual tool itself is made very poorly and will not secure any type of material for quality finish work. The slide is so tight on one end you can barely turn the lead screw and on the other is very loose. This is not worth the money that you pay even if you receive the complete assembly. I could just kick myself for not reading the finer print as I now must pay to send this junk back to INDIA!!!! Don't waste your time or your money, as you get what you pay for. ... show more

Very sturdy little unit for my 7x16 mini lathe. This can be used on mini lathes by utilizing an adapter plate on the cross slide. A little adjusting is needed out of the box but once adjusted, it is very accurate. Good deal and fast shipping!
