First, I have extremely dry and problematic skin and 51 yrs old. First I want to address some complaints I read in reviews. 1) the pump doesn’t work: The pump works great. Yes, the lotion is very thick which is wonderful. A little goes a long way. If you’re pumping too quickly, trying to get too much out at omce (you don’t even need that amount) you will break it or fill it with too much air. 2) it’s Greasy: It is not greasy! Read the bottle: for “extra dry skin, body and face” if you do not have extra dry skin or worse yet extremely oily skin this is going to work for you. So please don’t leave a bad review for it doing what it’s supposed to be do. 3) Rash/breaking out: with any new product You should always test on a small area of skin first. But whenever you switch a new moisturizer facial product, etc. you can expect to break out a little bit as your skin adjust but if it’s excessive or doesn’t go away, then discontinue. Now on to what I LOVE: 1) incredibly moisturizing, and not greasy at all. It absorbs quickly into my skin and adds a protective barrier that I do not have. 2) quality ingredients: Shea butter, ceramide, and niacinamide 3) fragrance free, paraben free, mineral oil free, and non-comedogenic. This is great for very sensitive skin. Fragrances are toxic and irritating to your skin (your largest organ). 4) the moisture lasts & feels amazing on my skin. 5) a true Facial moisturizer: last but not least you can literally use this on your face. I didn’t believe it when this wad mentioned on the label. I am a huge facial product, skin care and make up fiend. I have had some very expensive facial moisturizers and have tried just about everything. I reluctantly tried this on my face at night as second to final step in make up prep with serums, under eye cream & sunscreen (which is my final step). I literally got compliments from multiple people in broad daylight when I was walking my dog telling me how beautiful my skin looked on my face. The only thing I changed was adding this as my facial moisturizer! it did not pill, separate, streak, etc. when I applied my make up and I wear full coverage make up. For the price point you will not find better. I wish I discovered this product a long time ago. It’s amazing & affordable! Thank you La Roche-Posay! Works great. Love it! Not greasy, really absorbs and moisturizes my super dry skin! One thing I have to say is to the manufacturer: put this in a tube or a tub because it is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too thick to be in a pump. The first day I had it I couldn’t get it to pump at all, just took the top off and squeezed out. The second day it finally started to pump but it was the tiniest amount and I was pumping for 5 min. Not worth the time or trouble. What bothers me on top of that is that it’s going to be a huge pain trying to get all of it out of this bottle. If it was normal lotion thickness ok cool, but since it’s not give us a tub or a tube pretty please with sugar on top! ... show more

I suffer from very sensitive and seriously dry skin. I’m post menopausal and I live in the northeast so the winter temperatures and the warmth provided by my furnace also adds to my skin misery. Sometimes my face feels like it is covered by a scab because it is so dry. I’ve spent large amounts of money on moisturizers throughout my life. Even the ridiculously expensive ones from the dermatologist office. Most of them I never finished because they didn’t work or someone else advertised a newer and better product that didn’t work either. Moisturizer graveyard underneath my bathroom sink, literally. So here it is, winter 2023, and my skin feels like a scab. I saw a commercial for this lotion and went on Amazon to find it. I read some of the reviews and hit the buy button. I couldn’t wait for it to arrive. I took a warm shower and then spread this delicious moisturizer all over my body including my face. I could feel my skin drinking it up. I got into bed and watched a bit of tv and then looked at the skin on my arms. My skin looked and felt so much better. I had a little boo boo on my arm from where my puppy was chewing on me trying to get me to play with her. It was a little scab that was about to be gone. Dry and crusty. This moisturizer actually rehydrated the scab on my arm! The scab was actually soft and pliable like it had been soaking in water for awhile. I immediately went back on Amazon and ordered the face cream and facial cleanser. I’m obsessed with this product! Never in my life has something worked so well on my horribly dry skin. My husband even said my skin looks so much better and it feels so soft. YAY!❤️ Pros: -Has No Scent-Scent Free -Does not irritate my very sensitive skin- no stinging or itching -Is not greasy or sticky ( feels like it could be greasy when first applied but it’s not) -Works amazingly well -Leaves skin soft, supple and hydrated -Large bottle of product -Excellent price point Cons: I can’t find any. Looked and looked to find a negative and I couldn’t find anything. My skin is such a dry and oily combo. Makes things troublesome with makeup. Nothing else hydrates the dry patches like this. And doesn’t leave any greasy residue. It’s thick, so I was nervous. But the reviews are right. It’s fab. Softens and hydrates my skin and even my fine lines.
