Extremely easy to set up and program - directions on the Net or on YouTube. Will need time to see how long it will last. Came with the battery so one less thing to do. HINT: If you have a remote already for the vehicle and this is a second or backup - When you program this new one YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR A SECOND FOB. When you program a new one, your current units will not work as the car system changes the signal code from what it was. If you don't follow the directions for a 2nd fob - even though it is working and was programmed - it will no longer work. ... show more

I have a 2002 Cadillac Escalade base model, our remotes died like 10 years ago maybe and I went to the dealer; they said "you'd probably need a new remote and then take it to us to get programmed for $60/each remote". So for that past 10 years I've been using the key manually to unlock/lock the car, I saw this and said "eh might as well give it a try." And holy F it works. How to program yourself: 1) Stick the key into the ignition. 2) Make sure all doors are closed. 3) Wait till your door lights turn off automatically. 4) Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the drivers door. 5) While holding the "Unlock" button on the drivers door, turn the key all the way to the "On" position(the position just before you start the car) and then turn it off completely, then to On again, and back to off completely again. 6) Let go of the "Unlock" button. 7) Almost instantly, the car should automatically lock and then unlock to signal that you're in "Programming Mode". If not, you need to restart. 8) Press and hold the Lock and Unlock buttons on the remote until the car goes through the lock and unlock cycle again. Once it cycles from unlock to lock and unlock, you're done. Repeat for 2nd or more remotes. 9) Remove the key from ignition, open the door, and then close the door to turn or "Programming Mode". ... show more

so last month went to a locksmith shop to get another key fob for my 01 chevy silverado man tried out one remote that was suppose to be for my truck well he did his thing with holding lock button turn key on off and remote didn't program so he blamed it on my truck i talked to ex owner of this truck and he told me he got the remote from this company and was easy to program in less than 2 minutes will be buying another from them for sure ... show more

I thought I ordered a fob that could clone to any. There’s a set of selections on their website that points to a completely different fob for my car model and NO selections for aftermarket equipment. Disappointing.
