They wash well, are safe, do not seem to off gas. My large male iguana seems happier on the mats versus paper that offered no traction as he moved around his enclosure.

Tried showing color and texture it's soft fuzzy no "shedding" green is darker then the grass in the background picture looks grey ish do to lighting i hand feed my gecko so no problems with feeding for me ....i mist her home and the mat seems to hold up good no weird smells i did spill her water once and it dryed up the water doesn't soak in more lays on top and dries i like .👍 No warping or shrinking when hand washed and rung out ... show more

I've had all types of substrates and carpets for my leopard gecko, carpet seems to be his favorite to sleep on. I love this carpet, super soft and it looks a lot better then the big name brand green carpet from the pet store. It shed a bit when I opened the package, but a lint roller took care of that and haven't had any issue after that. I left 1 whole for the bottom, and then cut the second one to fit the different ledges. The bottom of the carpet is what seems to be like craft foam-ish which is nice so it doesn't slide around. ... show more
