I cannot state enough how much of a amazing value this reel is. At time of this review, the 70-size reel was priced at $72.99 with a 30% discount bringing it down to $51.09. This reel feels well-built and sturdy. The retrieve is smooth and the drag is solid. I'm a big fan of the power handle, it feels solid and well balanced. This reel will find service fishing for carp and catfish, so having an audible line clicker is a must for me. The Rover has a line out clicker that is comparable to my Abu Garcia reels. The line capacity is top notch and I was able to load nearly 300 yards of 80lb PowerPro braid onto this reel without issue. The Rover is an amazing addition to my tackle collection. Will be buying more of these reels to go onto my rods. It works like a dream and I just love the black color and the fact that it comes with a power handle. Set it up in a few minutes yesterday afternoon and have been fishing with it since. It's smooth ,retrieval speed is good although I mostly cat fish with these reels and speed us not a huge factor for me, casts beautifully. Super happy. ... show more

I ordered this reel to replace my an older and smaller reel. I wanted more drag and higher line capacity. This reel is what I wanted and so much more. I did not know it was this much bigger but I also like to have more than I need so I don't keep breaking them. This reel has it all loads of line room and drag. I have not been able to use is yet but I am looking forward to winching some cats and strippers out of the water with it. ... show more

Great reels for the price if you get good working ones. I ordered 2 and on one of the two reels I purchased the drag will not work. Unfortunately I didn’t realize it till I lined it up and got a fish on.

The media could not be loaded. Every professional fisherman knows the quality of Abu reels. So what there another reel with very similar quality. And it is 3 times cheaper. Metal body, rust proof. Aluminum and metal parts. Comfortable handle. Bearings steel. Lightweight. You can't go wrong for your saltwater or freshwater fishing. It will handle good bottom fish. Our area still cold.
