The best thing off the bat was it fit in my existing hole perfectly thanks to the measurements given in the description. It is a good looking unit and offers good functionality. The only issue that we have had is the learning curve. We were used to knobs to turn a unit on, this unit has no knobs, it is button, slider controls. It has a lockout button for child safety that sometimes activates which prevents any operation. It is simple to turn off (when you remember how). The manual does explain the use of the controls. One just needs to use the cooktop some times to remember how it functions. It does have a "double" burner in the center for using in high heat cooking. So far the cooktop has not shown any scratches on it surface, so I am pleased with the purchase. ... show more

This is our 3rd cooktop from Amazon and I do love this one a lot. The only thing I wish was different is the power when you have 2 burners on at one time. I feel like it takes longer for things to cook when more than one burner is on. Other than that it boils water pretty fast and have been great for us. ... show more

After 3 months of light use I was cooking an egg in a lite aluminum pan and head a crack. The glass broke and I’m not sure why I was in the middle of cooking it wasn’t super hot. I didn’t spill cold water on the hot surface. Must have been a defect from manufacturing. Of course it is outside of the return or support policy period. I would go for a different manufacturer. Or spend a little more for one with better durability. Edit/update. After contacting the manufacturer through Amazon they sent me a replacement unit with no problem. Bumped them up to 4 stars probably will bump to 5 as long as the new unit holds up. Customer service was excellent!!! So refreshing. Can’t help but recommend. ... show more

I ordered back in October but didn't get it installed till December and the back expandable Burner didn't work. Got hold of Seller and was sent a replacement which is working great. Only issue I have is how slippery the Burners are, am disabled and have no use of my left arm which makes it impossible for me to stir the pot and keep it in place. I mean it works for what it was designed to do, heat stuff up. I think it's only meant and intended as an inset counter top range. Nothing more. I ordered it as a backup single burner for those days when the power is out and you're backfeeding your generator into the 240v stove hookup. So it'll work in a pinch, but this isn't portable and it isn't something you'd want sitting on top of your countertop. With that said, looking at the rest of it, it's a huge unit for a single small burner. I'd reckon most people would be upset if something taking up this much space provided a single small burner that isn't any faster than my 30 year old coil burner stove. So if it's not appealing as a countertop item and is lacking as an inset item, where does it fit? It's an ok burner. ... show more

Cooktop fit perfectly into my Granite Countertop. All the burners work at the same time with no power loss. Electrician was concerned about the size of wire provided from cooktop to junction box so far so good. Had to contact customer service because there was no owners manual with operating instructions they provided a PDF manual. Amazon customer service was extremely helpful keeping me calm when I had no idea how to operate this cooktop without any manual so many thanks to them they truly provided me excellent customer support. All in all so far this cooktop is working great. I will give an update after using for a couple of weeks. ... show more

Changed to 5 star cause after making this post I was contacted and found out the company that installed it wired it wrong. Now it works I leave the problem had so others know the out come Bought a month ago Dooes not stay on. And randomly turns different burners on and off Constantly have to flip breaker off to control cook top again but still won't heat up for us to cook on ... show more
