The media could not be loaded. Easy install. I did it with simple hand-tools and it took me about an hour and a half to install by myself. I never installed any intake before, so I’d say it’s super easy. The hardest part was literally taking off one bolt that held the old intake down, but it would’ve been easier if I had a longer ratchet extension. The motor looks cooler, sounds insanely better, and performs better. I instantly noticed the turbo is able to deliver boost a lot faster, almost instantly. Also the gas mileage is even better. Does everything Id expect a high end CAI to do. Install was simple enough, worst part would be needing an extension to get to the 2 bolts for removing the old airbox. MAKE SURE to disconnect the negative battery terminal for a bit, this way the ECU needs to relearn and adjust to this or it'll throw codes. Driving definitively feels snappier on the throttle, power is there, and after week of driving my average MPG of 33-35 went to around 37-38. Could just be old filter was a bit dirty too when I saw it after. The sound is pretty great, could barley hear the turbo before, but now opening up the throttle it is loud and apparent. More of throaty motor noise too. As for value, its up to you if 10-12 hp/torque/better mpg is worth $300 to you. ... show more

I have a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport CVT. I installed this CAI to complement other bolt-ins: a Magnaflow 19373 Cat-Back exhaust, Siri-Moto Flex-Fuel Kit and a JB4 Tuner. Idk how the CAI performs individually, but at 5k+ RPM, my car is roaring and pulls like beast. Couple this with the fact I have the JB4 tuner set to the max base map with 30% E85 and the fact the Civic is a super light compact car to begin with, all these things makes my car way zippier than stock. YMMV depending on your mods. Even if the HP gain from this CAI is negligible, it certainly enhances the sound of your engine and adds under-the-hood candy. An RV6 frontpipe/downpipe combo will further enhance my car’s sound and performance—that’s my next project! Bottom line: This K&N CAI works. GET ONE! ... show more

Just installed this on my 2018 Honda Civic about 2 hours ago. Install went pretty smooth and straight forward. You can really hear the turbo spool up, a lot louder than I was expecting but I love it! Only problem was getting the stock airbox out. You just have to pull until it comes out after removing the two bolts. We'll see how things are in the future but right now its amazing. ... show more

Although I though that K&N was overcharging for this intake, it does everything a performance intake system is supposed to do. Better engine sound, you can hear the turbo, it increases acceleration (You will feel a difference!), and will eventually provide even better full economy (when you're not mashing the gas). Some people say that these do nothing for fuel economy, that is false. This is my 4th K&N intake system and the first three I have found that it takes about 500 miles for the computer to accurately state the MPG. Don't expect anything major, probably 1 or 2 mpg. Update 9/7/2020: After moving to Florida I noticed the intake began to heat soak when as my IAT's were above what the stock airbox was. I quickly realized that this intake had zero benefit in hot weather and I decided to sell it. Still enjoyed the intake and would've kept it if I was still in Indiana but living in Florida I will be buying the 27Won Hybrid CAI to lower my IAT's. ... show more

I love that the turbo can be heard a lot more and the acceleration is slightly better under certain conditions. The only thing that sucks is the setup of my 2017 civic EX-L hatchback intake. It has two components. the tops assembly which is depicted in the instructions and the bottom half which is not. This cold air intake can be installed without removing the bottom half. I wanted to remove the bottom half which requires removing the front bumper and under body cover. Just FYI. Other than removing the bottom half, super easy install. ... show more

Review #1 I installed this CAI on my 2021 Honda Civic hatchback sport. Love the sound of this CAI in combination with the Blowoff valve i installed on the turbo. Its soooo much louder than I thought it would be.. Easy install. Realistically, took me about 30 minutes to remove stock airbox and install this K&N CAI. For CAIs I've brought before from K&N, the price does seem a little high by about $40-$50 But whatever its worth it. I will do a second update tomorrow with a video of how it looks and sounds. ... show more
