I like these jars and they look nice with their contents on my kitchen counter. However, I wasn't pleased to discover the seals are plastic rather than silicone. They appear to be doing the job to keep the contents from drying out, but I expect the plastic to eventually dry out and crack.

Love these jars. I seem to get ants every couple years. I spray and then they surprise me a couple springs later. It's made me want to make every food in my kitchen be air-tight sealed and that's when I started looking for these jars. The family always seems to have fresh chocolate chip cookies and I personally love caramels for my little snack treats. We use 1 jar for each. There's a lot of room inside and they seal very well.
